The nose is intense and multi-faceted. Notes of blackcurrant and cedar are interwoven into a sophisticated expression that constantly intrigues. Harmony and balance are immediately apparent in this elegant, medium to full-bodied wine. The palate is assertive yet refined, with concentrated flavours of blackcurrant, berry and olive supported by subtle cedar spice from the oak. This is a premium Cabernet Sauvignon reflecting the unique terroir and pristine environment of the Coonawarra.

Australia's premier cool climate Cabernet. It was John Middleton's dream to create such a wine and purchased the Mount Mary property in the Yarra Valley in 1971 to persue this dream. Quintet is his dream realised and is a blend of the classic Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Wynns Michael Shiraz is a 'best-of-vintage' Shiraz from Wynns vineyard sites in Coonawarra and is named after David Wynn's youngest son. Made in the years that best show Coonawarra's unique terroir, this latest release displays the qualities that have made the 'Michael' one of the most highly regarded of all Australian Shiraz with aromas of red currants, cherries and raspberry that mesh every so well with the olive and white spice characters. The palate follows with an elegant structure bursting with dark brooding spice and succulent ripe tannins.

Grown on volcanic soils, this wine has a deep and intense ruby red appearance. The nose has enticing aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, plums and hints of violets. Full bodied on the palate with lively acidity and firm tannins. Expect flavours of dark fruits, pepper, licorice and vanilla unfolds as you discover the beauty of this wine. The wine has a savoury undertone which will make it a great pairing for slow roasted lamb cooked with rosemary and garlic.

"Replacing the Petit Chapelle cuvee and first made in 2015, the 2016 Hermitage La Maison Bleue is smoking good. Black fruits, charcoal, powdered rock, currants and chocolate notes all give way to a big, concentrated, impressively structures barrel sample that has tons of potential. Attractive, ruby-red colour, with an extraordinary concentration of fruit, the wine possesses aromas of redcurrant, black cherry, and a hint of tobacco. A wine with big body, it's rounded and velvety on the palate, with smooth tannins. A hint of vanilla and toast is followed by a long, smooth finish. A very elegant wine.
