Robert Groffier

Robert Groffier's Bonnes-Mares is a benchmark for Burgundy excellence. From the famed Bonnes-Mares vineyard, this wine captures the essence of its unique terroir. The Groffier family, with a tradition of meticulous viticulture, ensures that only the finest Pinot Noir grapes are handpicked. The winemaking process includes fermentation with indigenous yeasts and ageing in French oak barrels, which imparts structure and complexity. Each vintage presents a nose of dark berries, rose petals, and earthy undertones. On the palate, expect a harmonious blend of black cherry, raspberry, and subtle spice, complemented by fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. Robert Groffier's Bonnes-Mares consistently delivers quality and prestige, making it a coveted choice for discerning wine enthusiasts. This wine's balance of power and finesse ensures its place in any esteemed collection, highlighting the best of Burgundy.

Château Palmer Margaux

Château Palmer is considered one of the worlds first 'Super Seconds' (although actually classified as a third growth), a term relating to the top echelon of producers that fall outside of the ancient 1st Growth classification. Margaux's Château Palmer was named after a British general who fought under Wellington. It has been stated by quite a few wine critics that this could possibly be the finest Château Palmer ever produced. An amazing claim considering how phenomenal the 2005 was and is yet to be. Masses of concentrated aromas and flavours that will keep your senses entertained for hours on end. A truly remarkable achievement that will repay the patient cellarer over the next 30 years.

Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia

Based on Cabernet, Sassicaia is one of the first Italian reds to be made in the image of Bordeaux. In the late 1990s Sassicaia was granted its own DOC, the only wine from a single vineyard to enjoy this privilege.

Chris Ringland Dry Grown Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Exceptional

The Chris Ringland Dry Grown Shiraz 2007 smells of mineral oil, leaf litter, stones and dust. Despite it's weight and density, it is lively and vivid. This is a very powerful Shiraz with great structure, it could be cellared for 20-30 years and mature gracefully.

Château Léoville-Las-Cases Saint-Julien

Château Léoville-Las-Cases is classified as a 2nd Growth, but can rightfully claim to produce wines equal and superior to some 1st growths. Léoville's label (Grand Vin de Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases) doesn't mention the

Château Beychevelle St-Julien

Chateau Beychevelle is a 4th Growth producer known for wines of intensity, depth and brooding nature. The 2010 continues this line but with a suppleness born of the vintage. The estate is set in the very south of the St-Julien appellation and can be some of the more powerful, concentrated wines of the region. Wines spend around 18 months in about 50% new oak for distinction and character. Though having historical ties to aristocracy of France, the current owners of this fine estate are Grands Mill?simesde France. Expect youthful drinking in the next five years and cellar up to 20.
