Our 2014 Cradle Shiraz is ruby red in colour bordering on black. The nose carries hints of dark chocolate and plum, with a suggested waft of rich pudding.nOn the palate, the well balanced combinations of oak introduces a rich, smooth and velvety mouthfeel, with intense sweet grape and fruit flavours underscored by great length and a lush soft finish.nAnother great example of a McLaren Vale Shiraz, this wine drinking beautifully now will also cellar well over next 8 to 12 years.

The Bin 389 style evolved as a result of experiments, by Max Schubert, in the 1950s to develop a highly individual wine using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with compatible oak treatment. Bin 389 combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz and demonstrates the traditional Penfolds' trademark - balance between fruit and oak, giving the wine character and longevity.

De Bortoli has the ability to produce wines that offer supreme value for money. This classic Australian blend shows delicious sweet dark fruits and soft, lingering tannin.

Selected Shiraz from premium vineyards throughout Langhorne Creek was vinified using a combination of fermentation styles and French oak, to highlight the regional characteristics. The wine has lifted aromas of spice, dark cherry and plums, with a rich, full-flavoured palate of forest fruits and vanilla, finishing with soft tannins and excellent length. It tastes great now, and will reward patient cellaring.

Good winter rains set the vines up well for the ensuing dry, warm growing season. The ripening period was characterised again by warm, dry condition without excessive heat which gifted us rich, opulent reds with well-balanced structure. The moderate weather allowed us to harvest fruit at optimal ripeness. The Shiraz in particular demonstrates rafts of blackberry, fennel and earthy characters, typical hallmarks of a classic d’Arenberg red. Produced in close partnership with some of Australia's finest vineyards, Collaborations is our new capsule range of five wines. After over a year of tasting and scoring, we arrived at our core collection of wines: a Brown Brothers prosecco, a Mr Riggs shiraz, a Yering Station chardonnay, a Pizzini pinot grigio and a Xanadu cabernet sauvignon. From one of Portugal's leading producers, this wine is made from four grapes Shiraz, Tinta Roriz, Castelão and Touriga Franca harvested later than usual to achieve a greater ripeness and smoothness. It results in a deep and inky wine, with ripe plum and blackcurrant aromas. In the mouth it shows prune, fig and cherry fruit notes. Chocolate and liquorice flavours, given by ageing in oak barrique, dominate a long and smooth aftertaste.
