An authentic Pinot Grigio from the home of the variety in northern Italy, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is pale straw-yellow in colour with a clean, intense aroma and dry flavour with pleasant golden apple aftertaste. It is a Pinot Grigio of great character and versatility.

The grapes for this wine were grown on clay and limestone soils in the south of Burgundy. The old-vine vineyards here, planted in the late 1950s, are elevated at between 250m and 500m and provide this wine with both maturity and freshness. The grapes are hand-picked and gravity processed as whole bunches before cold (8°C) fermentation. Most of the wine (60%) is aged on lees in second and older-use oak barrels (Allier) for 15 months with some lees-stirring. 'This is high-end Pouilly-Fuissé, and the vineyards, which total 4.2 hectares, are ideally situated in the shadow of Roche du Solutre. The domaine was purchased in 2017 by the Parinet family of Château du Moulin-à-Vent. (The wines) are very fine expressions of white Burgundy, with lovely texture and mouthfeel.' Small-batch Chardonnay from Marlborough negociants Novum. Stonefruit, cream and mineral on the nose. Flintiness meets fruit on the palate, making for a distinctive medium-bodied wine. An appealingly long finish shows this to be a top tier Chardonnay. Novum use small parcels of fruit from specially selected sites on established Marlborough vineyards to craft the best wines and expressions of terroir possible. Their first vintage arrived in 2016. Novums primary focus is on Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

DOMAINE DU CHATEAU DE MEURSAULT Clos du Chateau, Bourgogne Blanc

The Josef Chromy Sauvignon Blanc provides aromas of ripe lychee and sweet gooseberry with fresh herbaceous notes. The palate is soft and full with flavours of lychee, elderflower and lemongrass.

Meursault-Blagny Cuvée du Myosotis 1er Cru Sourced from the commune of Blagny, legally classified within the confines of Meursault, this is a thrilling wine of strident length, latent power and an alloyed, ball bearing-like precision. It rolls through the mouth, staining the cheeks with riffs on apricot pith, candied lemon rind, dried mango and a toasted melody of assorted nuts. There is plenty of oak sitting on this, boding well for its procession into a long future in the cellar. A Meursault for the ages, in the hands of a master.
