Tempranillo

Chain of Ponds Unchained Tempranillo Barbera

A Spanish/Italian rendezvous with the Adelaide Hills - a unique blend of 50% whole bunch Barbera and destemmed Tempranillo. Intensely aromatic and inviting bouquet of raspberries, blueberries and satsuma plum entwined with fresh thyme and sage with a hint of cured meat. The palate has good fruit intensity and vibrancy with fresh red fruit and a crunch acid structure. Subtle velvety tannins provide a savoury edge.

Wood Park Wines Wild's Gully Tempranillo

Tempranillo, Spanish for 'early ripening', our Tempranillo grapes are the first to fruit on our vineyard with berries loaded with colour and enticing flavours. Our Tempranillo grapes are grown on our vineyard in Markwood and the 2019 vintage has proven to be an excellent year for the Spanish varietal. Gemtree Luna Roja Tempranillo

After seven vintages working with Spanish Tempranillo, the Gemtree team at McLaren Vale is clearly mastering the art and Luna Roja is just about as good as it gets in Australia. Gorgeous plum, berry, licorice and fruitcake characters, fine, soft, gentle tannins and a long, savoury finish. 'Tempranillo from one of McLaren Vale's best producers. This is soft and cuddly with plenty of fruit to the fore. Low in oak, high in accessibility. It tastes of liquorice and aniseed, five spice and dark earth. Freshness is a key aspect of an attractive pitch.' - The Wine Front: Campbell Mattinson July 2015. Reviews/ Awards: 90 points, Huon Hooke 2015 90 points, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2016. Gold at International Organic Wine Award 2015.

Marqués de Riscal Reserva Rioja

The Reserva Tempranillo blend from iconic Riojan producer, Marqués de Riscal is made from fruit sourced from outstanding vineyard sites that are in excess of 15 years of age. This fruit is able to withstand the lengthy maturation process in oak due to the fine, complex tannin and acid structure. The resulting wine is classically savoury with notes of dark berries and toasty oak. The palate is long and rounded with interesting hint of spice.
