Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Nature Blanc de Noirs

The Blanc de Noirs is a blend of 100% Pinot Noir from the village of Cumières, coming from a single premier cru parcel named the Côte à Bras. This is one of the very few 'superior' premiers crus overlooking the Marne river in the immediate vicinity of Epernay. Take a look at the tissue paper that is wrapped around the bottle as it refers to the origin of this special Champagne, a beautiful reproduction of a 19th century map showing the Côte à Bras and its surrounding history. Aged in bottle for 6 years, the champagne process was wherever possible, done by hand, with each bottle handled by around 10 people during the entire production. Best served with oysters and seafood. One may expect this Champagne to be bone dry but the Pinot Noir provides a vibrant experience on the palate with delicious ripe notes of dried cherries, hirsch and red fruits developing into a finish that is full of intensity and life. Drink now as it's best not to age.
