Domaine Michèle & Patrice Rion's Vosne-Romanée is a quintessential expression of Burgundy's prestigious terroir, known for its elegance and complexity. This wine seduces the senses with its fragrant bouquet of red cherries, blackberries, and violets, intertwined with subtle notes of earth, spice, and a hint of oak. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious balance of vibrant fruit flavours, silky tannins, and a refined minerality, culminating in a long, graceful finish. Crafted with meticulous care and respect for traditional winemaking methods, this Vosne-Romanée exemplifies the finesse and depth that make Burgundy wines so revered.

Petrichor Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

Petrichor Single Vineyard Pinot Noir, Coal River Valley, Tasmania After handpicking, on arrival at the winery, the fruit is mostly destemmed (a little wholebunch was used) and sorted, both by hand. The winery is low fi, too. Plunging by hand to keep the cap from drying (its hard to do pump-overs when you have no pump), wild yeast slowly ferments the wine to dryness before going into the old hand crank basket press. The wine isnt racked and sits on fine lees in an old French oak barrel, none younger than five years. After this, the wine is racked off less into stainless steel to settle naturally prior to bottling where it sees no fining or filtering. Purity, we want the wine to taste like the fruit when we pick it!- Tim Hodgkinson, Petrichor

Laurent Ponsot Grand Cru, Cuvée du Palmier

LAURENT PONSOT Grand Cru, Cuvée du Palmier , Latricieres-Chambertin

Domaine Armand Rousseau Clos St Jacques 1er cru

A Premier Cru by classification; a Grand Cru by breed. Clos Saint Jacques has long been a contentious site. For many it is superior to all Grands Crus in Gevrey but for the regal duo of Chambertin and Clos de Bèze and even then, it is often their equal. Sturt. Forceful. Ferrous. Among the very greatest expressions of this regal commune, Jasper Morris MW refers to the Clos as the crown prince, as it slopes steeply to an ideal southern and easterly exposure. Rousseaus, by far the finest articulation.

Freycinet Vineyards Pinot Noir

Langton's Classification: Excellent

Inspired by the finer end of the red Burgundy spectrum, Tasmania has the cool climate and conditions to produce some of the best Pinot in the country, and the winemakers at Freycinet know it. Their flagship wine has all the hallmarks of cool climate, Tasmania Pinot concentration, complexity and great length. The vines are managed with a diligence which borders on obsession. The fruit is hand picked at harvest, lightly crushed and destemmed before fermentation with small quantities of whole bunch fruit. The resulting wine shows dark red fruit, spice and a subtle profile of game and truffle.
