Under Wraps

MYSTERY828 EV Merlot

This Eden Valley Merlot presents a vibrant and approachable style with aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as plum, cherry, and blackberry, accompanied by subtle hints of spice like vanilla and cedar from oak influence. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with soft, velvety tannins and a smooth texture. The fruit flavors are echoed, leading to a balanced and lingering finish.

MYSTERY811 PYR Cab Blend

Unwrap the mystery of this Pyrenes region red. Experience layers of blackberry and plum, interwoven with spice and hints of vanilla oak. This full-bodied wine boasts smooth tannins and a lingering finish, perfect alongside grilled meats, hearty casseroles, or mature cheddar. Enjoy now or cellar to unlock further complexity. A celebrated regional find.

MYSTERY792 BV Cab Sauv

Big, round, furry tannins envelop multitudinous clusters of liquorice and ripe blackberry, the plush fruits balancing the necessitous tannic gruffness. There is an intensity and a coolness to the black fruit flavours and textures which, along with background acidity, keeps the wine in parade-ground order - an attitude which cabernet both needs and likes. This is a big mouthful of red wine, yet it finishes very dry and lingeringly, never losing its cabernet definition. Friendly, satisfying yet upright and mannered.

Beaujolais

This Pinot Noir is cultivated in the heart of the French Ardèche region, vineyard marked by its cool climate and high altitude. Buis D'Aps is a locality in the town of Alba La Romaine, around which this Pinot Noir is grown, on clay-limestone soils. This cuvée is the fruit of rigorous work: limited yields, thinning at the start of summer, exclusively manual harvest. After a long maceration of 2 to 3 weeks, part of the harvest is aged in oak barrels. Fresh nose, seductive, very cherry, small catchy tannins well coated, floral finish, fresh vegetal, superb character. A beautiful discovery.

Beaujolais Gamay

Vignoble Aucoeur is the oldest family domain of the Morgon village, in the heart of Beaujolais. Arnaud Aucoeur has been voted 2020 Winemaker of the Year. This cuvée is in honor of the first winemaker of the Aucoeur family, born in Villié Morgon in 1825. Emblem of their know-how and their family heritage, this Morgoncombines richness with a perfumed fruitiness. It has fine tannins and layers of juicy blackberry fruits. It shows both the structured and the fruity side of the appellation in a balanced framework, and is the perfect expression of tradition combined with modernity.

Beaujolais Villages Rouge Sélection Vieilles Vignes

Vignoble Aucoeur is the oldest family domain of the Morgon village, in the heart of Beaujolais. Arnaud Aucoeur has been voted 2020 Winemaker of the Year by the famous Guide Hachette in France. To perpetuate the legacy of his ancestors, Arnaud makes some of his wines, including his famous “Moulin à vent”, in wooden containers. Barrels, tons and semi-casks are all housed on the farm. The grapes are manually-harvested from vines of about fifty years, exclusively from Gamay grapes. The wines are fruity with a special character, with clear and bright ruby color and loads of aromas of red fruits. A very nice balance and a beautiful finesse.
