This is the 7th release of this flagship wine sourced exclusively from vines that used to feed Eileen Hardy Shiraz. This nose exhibits white pepper and spice, the palate is full bodied with layers of black and blue fruits finishing with firm yet fine tannins that will see this wine cellar well into the 2030s. One for cellar or decant now for an hour before serving.

With freshness on the palate and a leaning towards a medium bodied Cabernet, this is a lively mix of red currant, cassis, and moreish acidity, with aromas of tobacco, cassis and bay leaf - this is a classic cooler climate Cabernet.

The palate of this full bodied red wine is muscular and fleshy. The initial impression has some raspberry notes on the front palate, then moves to a dark compote of mulberry, blackberry and blueberry coating the mouth. The medium ripe tannins and soft approachable acid brings power and longevity to the wine.

A tight and complex bouquet of dried plum, fresh almond, blood plum, smoked meats, concentrated cherry, blueberry preserve, ginger, glazed prune and clove. In all pretty it’s thrilling, what greets you on the palate flows through to the palate, with a band of deep but amazingly light fruits, an ironstone searing penetration builds up and then slowly flows away, the fruit depth here is admiral and the balance is so pure that this will age quite effortlessly for an extended time.
