This De Bortoli La Bohéme Sparkling is designed to be enjoyed with friends over a few share plates. Steve Webber, the award winning chief winemaker, loves the beauty and climate of the Yarra Valley. His mission is to bring that to a wine that has distinctive character (and have fun while doing it) Blended in batches or cuvees using vintage and reserve wines, this small batch blending gives terrific consistency to each bottling and enables the introduction of fresher wines over time for ultimate drinkability and complexity.

Semi translucent bright red to dark red colour with a light luminous red hue. Pronounced freshly crushed cherry and strawberry aromas mix with some inky earth and spicy herb notes. Juicy cherry and strawberry fruits are interwoven with subtle inky earth and dried herb elements. Soft fleshy mouth feel with velvety tannins. Finishes fresh with a savoury red fruited aftertaste. Drink over the next 1-2 years. Alc. 13.5%

Since the first vintage in 1982, De Bortoli Noble One has become an Australian icon and one of the world's most awarded dessert wines. De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon was created by Darren De Bortoli at the family winery in Bilbul in New South Wales, Australia. Careful and constant monitoring of the vineyards determines the best time to harvest the fruit for Noble One, when both the Botrytis flavour and sweetness levels are in unison. Each vineyard is treated individually with 85% being matured in a combination of new and older French oak barriques. We then take the very best parcels and weave them together, fuzing a harmonious blend of Noble One.

Grenache is the warmer regions answer to Pinot Noir. Fruit from Northern Heathcote - gorgeous, fragrant, drinkable, medium bodied and great with food.

The friends in this French Alsace style blend are 'aromatic varieties', probably riesling and gewurztraminer. The colour is pale, the bouquet is sweetly fragrant and floral. A dab of sweetness, full, rich and satisfying.

Lemon, lime and peach flavours come to the fore. The palate has a creamy texture, with crisp acidity. The subtle oak approach has given added structure to the wine without overpowering it leaving the citrus and stone fruit flavours to dominate
