Domaine Wachau Domane Wachau Gruner Veltliner Terassen

Theres nothing like grüner veltliner. Its signature is a thin vein of acidity that provides a delightfully explosive mouthfeel. Its major fruit flavours are green fruits and citrus and its herbaceous character gives it notes of white pepper. This traditional example of grüner veltliner from Austria has a medium body and crisp acidity, plenty of juicy green apple flavour and a lightly spicy finish. If youre not familiar with the varietal, its well worth trying as a refreshing alternative to riesling.

Krinklewood Vineyard Verdelho

Pale straw with a green hue, this Hunter Valley biodynamic wine has a lifted nose of citrus blossom and freshly cut grass. Citrus and orange blossom carry onto the palate and are layered with soft luscious fig characters. A refreshing zesty finish. Enjoy this wine young & fresh with seafood or asian-styled cuisine. 'Certified biodynamic and organic, there's a sub-tropical fruit salad in here bursting to get out via a vibrant bite and crunch - think apple an pineapple with squeeze of lemon - finishing with fine, moreish mouth feel. Food: Grilled dory, pineapple, coriander salsa.' - Daily Telegraph, Sydney, 15 Apr 2014, by Tony Love.

Scarborough Green Label Semillon

This is a superb example of the famous Hunter Semillon. Alternate in style and fuller in flavour, with tropical, grassy, lifted characters and a zesty palate. 'Today's selections are all comparatively low in alcohol - light bodied but tasty wines delivering great drinking pleasure. Semillon seems a natural starting point as, along with prosecco and riesling, the variety develops ripe flavours before grape sugar levels (and hence alcohol levels) climb too high. The warm Hunter region excels at the style but sometimes requires cellaring to soften the austere acids. But Scarborough's version offers a soft, easy -drinking expression of the variety, with bright, lemongrass like flavour and snappy, bone-dry finish.' - Sunday Canberra Times, 03 Mar 2013, by Chris Shanahan

Leeuwin Estate Siblings Sauvignon Blanc

Blend of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon gets a touch of barrel aging, reflected in its silky texture more than any overt aromas or flavours. The palate is fruit-forward, offering hints of citrus, under ripe nectarine and green apple, finishing long and mouth-watering. Overall a youthful and vibrant blend.
