The Black Pig 'The Prize' Margaret River Chardonnay
The Black Pig's 'The Prize' label is saved for extra special parcels of supreme quality fruit, and this beauty is from a very special property indeed in WA's Margaret River. The estate cannot be named but be assured that fruit quality there is paramount and this elegant, full-flavoured Chardonnay is a real bargain even at its full RRP.
Coriole Estate Clark Hill McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz
"Coriole has earned its reputation as one of the blue-blood producers of McLaren Vale” (James Halliday). "What Coriole does better than any other McLaren Vale maker is to fashion wines of such balance and finesse ... equipped with the structure, balance and layers of fruit to unfold slowly” (Jeremy Oliver). We're not arguing with these fine critics! Clark Hill, named after the land on which the Coriole estate was built, is an impressively rich blend of lush Cabernet planted in 1988, and spicy Shiraz planted in 1969 when Coriole was set up. Savour subtle lavendar aromas and a melee of plum, cassis and redcurrant flavours lifted by elegant, exotic spice.
Alessandro Gallici Prosecco
Add extra sparkle to your weekly wine routine with this fresh, inviting Prosecco. It's full of delicious apple and lemon-scented flavour. After all, right across Italy Prosecco is the bubbly of choice and as much a part of daily life as gelato or an espresso. This wine is from northern Italy's Alessandro Gallici. He knows every grape grower worth knowing, every premium vineyard, and has spent his life making outstanding wines. We first met him when he was head winemaker at a large winery. Every vintage, he'd impress us, but he was also keen to go out on his own. We were delighted and promised we'd be his first customer. We're still championing his great wines today. His fizz is beautifully fresh and, served chilled, makes a tasty aperitivo.
Angullong Orange Verdelho
Verdelho makes an awesome alternative to Sauvignon Blanc – zesty fresh and tropical it’s a real crowd-pleaser. The Angullong vineyards are located on the southern lower slopes of the Orange region at the foothills of Mount Canobolas, an ancient volcano. Angullong’s topography is best described as dramatic. The country ranges from undulating to steep hills with spectacular limestone escarpments that radically descend to the fast-flowing Belubula River. This Verdelho is attractive fresh tropical fruit and melon flavours held within a clear and natural acid backbone. The finish is beautifully crisp and refreshing, offering a lovely alternative to Sauvignon Blanc. It’s perfect with spicy Asian dishes.

Delicate and picked at the optimum moment – the themes of pears and minerals continue through the palate with no hint of cloy.
Angove Bin 8480 Limestone Coast Chardonnay
Chateau Tanunda Parishes Langhorne Creek Barossa Shiraz
An intriguing and very successful, cross regional Shiraz. As Château Tanunda’s website describes it. “Parishes celebrates the heritage of our pre-eminent Australian wine regions, born from grape-growing communities as flavorsome as the wine they produce. Our carefully crafted drops embody exceptional regional character”. Very successfully, as Ray Jordan writes in Winepilot: “Put the weight and power of the Barossa with the supple drinkability of Langhorne Creek and you have something special like this thoroughly beautiful and delicious Shiraz. Dark plummy fruits with a lift of subtle mint. A delightfully pretty palate with fine tannins and well applied oak sitting comfortably amongst the fruit. The dark chocolate and blue fruit are a nice mix to further enhance an engaging palate... absolutely engaging.” 94pts (Winepilot).
The Golden Prawn Fiano
Talk about worldly! This is the modern-day Aussie – a classic Italian white variety, grown in Australia, and made for enjoying with Chinese takeaway. Did someone say fruit salad? Yep – but this one’s for grownups. There’s ripe pineapple and juicy honeydew melon, soft pear and all your other fruit salad faves. Call up your local, because we reckon this wine was simply made for Chinese food! It would be stunning with some salt & pepper calamari, but the ripe fruits would also hold their own against some tangy sweet & sour pork, too.
Vinifera Mudgee Cabernet Sauvignon
Willow Bridge 'Dragonfly' Geographe Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
The making of Dragonfly Sauvignon Blanc Semillon centres on capturing the fresh and alluring tropical and seasonal fruit flavours from the region. A minute portion is fermented in French oak barriques to add a layer of intrigue to the wine. Enticing aromatics of passionfruit, tropical notes, kiwi fruit and lime zest. The palate is crisp and refreshing, having a depth of flavour, tropical spectrum, and a long fine finish.
