Domaines Ott Clos Mireille Coeur de Grain Rose

Pale, salmon pink with coral tints. The expressive and complex nose reveals a mosaic of aromas, from white peach and candied melon to hawthorn blossom. The fresh, energetic attack offers notes of white currant and lime. The wine's lovely, velvety texture coats the palate with succulent fruity flavours and is built with remarkable precision and finesse. Grenache 70%, Cinsault 14%, Syrah 7%, Rolle 9% In 1896 Marcel Ott of Alsace found an estate which inspired him, Château de Selle in Tarandeau, Provence, where once olives, lavender and mulberries grew. Enjoying a unique microclimate, the wines are delicate and elegant with great depth. In the 1930s, Marcel Ott fell in love with the very old Clos Mireille, overlooking the sea at La Londe Les Maures, near Brégançon. The vines soon started producing distinctive yet subtle wines. Château Romassan in Bandol was acquired by the Ott family in 1956 and following years of terracing and replanting, produces robust, harmonious and long lived wines. Cur de Grain represents wine-making genius, and today the distinctive bottle evokes the memory of the elegant amphora of centuries past. Today, 120 years later, cousins Jean-François and Christian Ott dedicate their lives to their ancestors love for Provence. In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined Louis Roederer and its fabulous selection of wine craftsmen.

Roseblood d'Estoublon Rose

Product Information: From solar and graceful 2023 vintage, showcasing a delightful aromatic profile balanced by acidity and freshness. An exceptional blend of Grenache, Syrah and Rolle (Vermentino) sourced from Coteaux Varois en Provence vineyards, Roseblood Rosé evokes harmonious composition of flavours all in an elegant, playful and bold package. The wine is composed of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, and 5% Rolle, sourced from hillside vineyards in Coteaux Varois en Provence, characterised by red earth soils with pockets of gravel and flint. Winemaking involves direct pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and concrete. The wine is aged for several weeks on fine lees. Maker: Château d’Estoublon is one of France’s most remarkable estates, recently launching Roseblood d’Estoublon, the most dynamic luxury rosé on the market. Roseblood reflects a legacy of excellence, a commitment to the enchanting Provençal landscape, and the vision of its exceptional team. Founded in 1489, Château d’Estoublon is already renowned for its award-winning olive oil (Best in the World 2022 and 2023) and is one of just 93 members of the French committee of leading luxury brands alongside Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. In 2020, the estate was acquired by Jean-Guillaume Prats, former CEO of Cos d’Estournel, along with hands-on partners including musician and global influencer Carla Bruni, her husband Nicolas Sarkozy, the former President of France, and entrepreneur Stéphane Courbit, owner of several five-star hotels and the Ladurée macaron company. This dynamic ownership group has expanded the estate to encompass 340 hectares of vineyards, complementing the existing 300 hectares of forest, olive groves, and gardens. Roseblood is a unique rosé that embodies the rich history and cultural significance of its estate, infused with the passion of its surroundings and its owners, epitomising the Art of Living in Provence. Philosophy: In the heart of Coteaux Varois en Provence, Roseblood’s vineyards sprawl across hillsides at elevations of 1,100-1,600 feet. The vines thrive in a mild continental climate, where gentle autumns and springs alternate with occasionally torrid summers and colder winters compared to the rest of the region. The region’s red earth soils, complemented by pockets of flint and gravel, impart a harmonious blend of expression, freshness, balance and roundness to the wines. In this blend of four emblematic Provençal grape varietals, each plays a distinctive role: Grenache contributes roundness, delicacy, and subtle aromas, while Syrah adds power and colour. Cinsault, known for finesse and fruity notes, gently balances the strength provided by Grenache and Syrah. Rolle, the iconic white grape of Provence, introduces a touch of tension, freshness, and floral notes to complete this well-balanced blend. Nose - Jasmine, Peach, Redcurrants A fruity, playful and succulent rosé with aromas of redcurrants, melon and straw Palate - Rounded Texture, Vivid Strawberry, Stony Crunchy nectarine flavours set against notes of smoke, fresh green herbs and salty mineral on a full palate. Finish - Tangy, Citrus Acidity, Mineral Tension It’s medium-bodied with a fruity and tangy character. Round-textured and relaxed with a flavourful finish.

Caves D’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé

Chateau d’Esclans is situated in the heart of Provence, northeast of St. Tropez. With his acquisition of the Château in 2006, Sacha Lichine’s vision was to create the greatest rosés in the world, igniting the “Rosé Renaissance”. Château d’Esclans is home to Whispering Angel which is made from grapes sourced from amongst the most choice Vineyards in the vicinity of the Esclans Valley and nearby in the Cotes de Provence region. Harvesting is only conducted during at night time to avoid the heat of the day & to keep the crop of grapes fresh. Upon arriving in the Cellars, grapes are sorted for both health and quality ensuring that the selected grapes are assessed accurately in terms of overall quality. The harvest takes place each September, where grapes, at their ripest, are selected, picked and carefully placed in small crates, chosen in order to avoid too many grapes at the top crushing grapes at the bottom. Once the grapes arrive to the cellars all grapes which go into vinification are de-stemmed and resemble each of the physical characteristics dictated by the wine maker including shape, size, colour and condition. This is verified by an optical eye camera which is programmed to detect whether grapes correspond to the established criteria. The grapes are then sent through a soft crush mechanism which punctures them in order for the juice inside to flow followed by their entering a heat exchange system which reduces their temperature from what can be as high as 29 degrees celsius down to 7-8 degrees. Temperature reduction ensures that freshness and vivacity are locked in which is key to ensure consistent temperature control making the grapes ready for closed circuit (nitrogen) pressing ensues which produces 3 grades of what is primarily free run juice. Nitrogen pressing ensures no oxidation is taking place during the pressing process known as an accumulation of details that is carefully planned and monitored. Depending on which grade of juice the press produces, the wine makers determine which will be used to make barrel fermented (aged) wine or stainless steel fermented wine. The different grades of juice differ in terms of skin contact which pertains exclusively to the first press while the next two have no skin contact and increase in intensity from one to the next. The overall affect is a clear, clean tannin free juice which gives the wines an agreeable characteristic and taste profile while ensuring that the colour is quite pale. As the individual juices from corresponding Barrels and Vats are selected and placed into half bottles, the technical team will taste through these unique juices and they will start to form opinions for which wines they should be used to make the new vintage. The information which comes from this step in the process is noted for referential purposes related to the next step, the assemblage. The last step is the assemblage or blending for Chateau d’Esclans and Caves d’Esclans wines. While there is little variation vintage to vintage, percentage of different grape varieties that will make up the ultimate blend will differ with each new vintage, however the taste profile remains the same. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, its pale colour is pleasing to the eye and draws one in. The rewarding taste profile is full and lush while being bone dry with a smooth finish. A blend of the best free run juices and press juices, fermented and aged in stainless steel with temperature control. A beautifully pale pink, which is pleasing to the eye and draws one in. Flavours of fresh red berry fruit characteristics with floral notes and a ripe and fleshy feel on the palate. This popular rosé wine has great concentration, a smooth and round finish and no astringent aftertaste.

Hentley Farm Villain & Vixen Rose

Founded in 1997 by Keith and Alison Hentschke, Hentley Farm embarked on a remarkable journey with a singular vision: to create exceptional single estate wines that showcase the distinct character of the Barossa Valley. Prior to this endeavour, Keith's extensive credentials in Agricultural Science and Wine Marketing, earned through his studies at Roseworthy College, set the stage for his pursuit of excellence in winemaking. During his years of preparation, Keith diligently explored the region, seeking guidance from local winemakers and viticulturalists who pointed him in the direction of the Barossa's red/brown soil over limestone. Armed with this invaluable knowledge, he strategically located the finest parcels of land using an old soil map from the 1950s. This quest led them to a picturesque mixed farming property nestled among the rolling hills along the banks of Greenock Creek in the western region of the Barossa. Here, they discovered a remarkable diversity of soil types, varying aspects, and altitudes, forming the foundation for their winemaking pursuit. In 2004, Hentley Farm expanded its estate with the acquisition of a neighbouring vineyard that shared the coveted natural amphitheatre of rolling hills surrounding the property. This addition further enhanced the diversity of the site, solidifying Hentley Farm's position as a single estate spanning 150 acres of pure vinous potential. Keith's background as an agricultural scientist played a crucial role in the meticulous exploration and understanding of the land before the planting process could commence at Hentley Farm. With a keen eye for detail, he delved into the unique characteristics of the site, discovering the intriguing influence of altitude differentials and variations in the east-west aspect, which resulted in unexpected microclimates. Collaborating with local viticulturalists, Keith embarked on an extensive endeavour to explore the diverse soils present on the property, employing the excavation of forty soil pits throughout the site. The extraordinary diversity of soil, aspect, and altitude presented both an opportunity and a challenge that demanded careful planning and precision in the vineyard layout. Factors such as varietal selection, clone selection, row spacing, orientation, trellising methods, and water management were meticulously considered. As a result, Keith and his team devised the concept of "viticultural blocks," dividing the single vineyard into nine distinct blocks based on similarities in soil type, aspect, and climate. Each block was further subdivided into rows to account for variations in soil, aspect, and microclimates. The vineyards were planted with a selection of grape varieties, with Shiraz comprising 70% of the plantings, followed by Grenache (17%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Zinfandel (2%), and a small parcel of Viognier (0.5%). In 2002, the first wines from the property were released, showcasing the exceptional results of Keith's meticulous planning and the team's dedication to crafting wines of distinct character and quality. With his tenure beginning in 2008, Head Winemaker Andrew Quin has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of the vineyard, dedicating himself to the creation of contemporary wines that embody the essence of traditional Barossa varieties. Andrew's unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence has left an indelible mark on the vineyard's evolution, ensuring that each bottle reflects the harmonious marriage of time-honoured grape varieties with a contemporary winemaking approach. With a keen focus on showcasing varietal diversity, the wines of Hentley Farm captivate with their allure and accessibility in their youth, while possessing the depth and structure necessary for extended cellaring. Andrew's dedicated stewardship has firmly established Hentley Farm as a prominent boutique winery in Australia, garnering acclaim from around the world, including the prestigious title of 2015 James Halliday Winery of the Year. Every bottle released from Hentley Farm tells a unique tale of the vineyard and the vintage, with production volumes limited by the boundaries of the estate and the conditions of each specific harvest. Beyond the single vineyard estates, Hentley Farm produces a portfolio of modern wines sourced from select vineyards across the Barossa including a range of wines under the Villain & Vixen label. As villains against convention they favour vixen like elegance, textural wines with enhanced vibrancy of fruit and varietal characteristics. Hentley Farm Villain & Vixen Rose represents the essence of a modern, dry-style Rosé that exudes complexity and vibrant, intense flavors. This delightful wine is abundant with delightful notes of raspberry, apple, sherbet, and fresh strawberry, creating a symphony of flavors on the palate. Its creamy and soft texture is perfectly complemented by a fine, well-balanced acidity, resulting in a refreshing and enjoyable drinking experience. Its fine acidity and soft texture create a perfect balance, making it an ideal companion for a variety of culinary delights. Pair this versatile Rosé with a summer salad adorned with grilled prawns, a platter of fresh seafood, or a creamy goat cheese and beetroot tart.
