Cockburn's Special Reserve Port

Established by Scotsman Robert Cockburn in 1815, who returned to Portugal after first visiting the country as a soldier fighting under Wellington in the Napoleonic Wars. Cockburn's vineyard holdings are some of the largest in the Douro region which gives the house valuable flexibility in selecting only the very best fruit for their ports. This Special Reserve Port is a mature off-dry style with a 'vintage character' of dried plums, walnuts and tobacco aromas and a palate that is soft and mellow with a nice, long length.

Morris Liqueur Muscat

Christmas in a bottle, this is a superb Rutherglen liqueur muscat. The colour has a slightly olive, aged tinge, and the fabulous nose has beautifully concentrated scents of raisins, spices, plum pud, roasted almonds and Siena cake. It's seductively sweet and smooth in the mouth, with a luscious raisin and nutty aftertaste. Fortified wines were perfected in the 1700s and were popular as they were able to withstand long sea journeys. A wine becomes fortified when a neutral spirit is added during the fermentation process. There are many different types of fortified wines including Tawny, Port, Apera, Sherry, Muscat and other fortifieds. Common flavours include ginger, toasted hazelnuts, raisins, caramel and cinnamon. Fortified wine pairs well with seafood, tapas, fruit cake or enjoyed as a cocktail, aperitif or digestive.

De Bortoli Old Boys Barrel Aged 21 Year Old Tawny

De Bortoli 'Old Boys' 21 Year Old Tawny is a classic tawny from the producer of some of Australia's premier styles. An array of aromas are on display with dark raisined fruits, mocha, hints of vanilla and nutty aged barrel characters. On the palate the flavours of mocha continue with a richly concentrated texture. A supreme long length leaves you with a smooth and lingering finish.

A fine aged Tawny crafted from specially selected parcels of fruit. The full bodied flavour demonstrates a rich, silken palate that is beautifully balanced by a lasting clean finish.

De Bortoli Sacred Hill Old Tawny

Sienna amber in colour. Aromas of caramel and rancio, dried fruits and nut. Luscious with generous caramel, chocolate and raisin flavours, developed characters from the time spent maturing contributes complexity and depth. Sacred Hill has been aged on oak and is designed for current consumption but will keep in the bottle for several years.
