The People's Pinot Gris
This Gris from the home of the long white cloud offers creamy pear notes, honey and hints of caramel with citrus and vanilla. The palate reflects the nose with it flavours of ripe pear and honey layered with guava. There is a creamy weight when drinking and it trails rich flavours of tangerine. Ideally suited to drink with with pasta, parsley and parmesan or poached salmon and wild mushrooms.

Petaluma have access to some of South Australia's premier vineyard sites which are put to impressive use here with their White Label Pinot Gris. 100% sourced from the Adelaide Hills, yet four vineyards are used to create this delicious white; two in the Piccadilly Valley, one near Balhannah and one near Lenswood. Only the very best fruit was selected and left to ferment in older French barriques, the resulting wine has a classic cool-climate backbone with racy acidity and depth of flavour on the palate.

Despite being the newest hottest kid on the block, piquette dates to ancient Greek and Roman times. It enjoyed a renaissance in the 19th century when phylloxera decimated French vineyards, making grapes so scarce every ounce of the precious fruit was used. Made from adding water to bare pressed grape skins and left to ferment, this low-alcohol, refreshing, and slightly fizzy drink Was named ‘piquette’ (prickle) and became the standard for vineyard workers at the lunch table. Aromatics of red berries and blood orange. The palate is loaded with fresh cut strawberries and sherbet that combine with a green apple acid line to make a beautifully refreshing naturally lower in alcohol beverage.
