Created in order to pay homage to Louise Pommery, Cuvée Louise is a wine of an absolute purity which expresses the quintessence of the exceptional oenological know-how of the Maison Pommery. Avize, Cramant and Aÿ: Cuvée Louise finds its origin within these three grands crus, true gems of Champagne.

The house was founded as Pommery & Greno in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno. Under the guidance of Alexandre's widow, Louise Pommery, the house grew into one of the largest Champagne houses and to this day produce elegant and complex Champagne's. Very subtle rosé character with supple and finely robust with and appealing freshness and liveliness.

Only fruit from 7 Grand Cru vineyards is used to craft a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which spends over 4 years ageing on lees plus 6 months post disgorgement. Further gentle ageing takes place until deemed ready for release by the Cellar Master. It displays mature citrus characters, fresh white and red fruits and gentle spice, all linked by a common thread of minerality producing complexity, elegance and length.

The nose is captivating; it reveals a fine and pure aromatic richness as well as delicacy and freshness. The Chardonnay grape is strongly present, expressing distinction and complexity. Notes of citrus fruit are combined with slightly spicy end notes. The wine flows without sharpness or excessive roundness. The finesse and delicacy produce a pure and wonderful taste.
