Grove Estate The Garibaldi Nebbiolo Shiraz
The 2020 Garibaldi is a wine we have been contemplating producing for the past 10 years. A 50/50 blend of Nebbiolo and Shiraz made in the difficult year of 2020. The two previous years we had been in drought but this one toppped it of with only a fraction of our normal crop. So enjoy the wine, it is soft and full of fruit from the two countries that Garibaldi loved.
Grove Estate Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon
One could be mistaken for thinking Grove Estate was in the heart of Coonawarra with it's vivid red soil. It's in fact nestled in the emerging region of Hilltops in NSW and with the guidance of Canberra guru, Tim Kirk, this great Cabernet shows flavours and aromas of liquorice, blackberry and rich cassis.
Grove Estate Hilltops Primitivo
The 2017 Primitivo is from our original plantings of Primitivo planted in 1996. These vines were taken from cuttings at Cape Mentelle. The vines now resemble a bush vine and with lots of hand thinning and trimming we are able to nurture this difficult variety into this lovely wine.
Cellar Block Shiraz
Shiraz hand picked from the vines beside the Cellar door. Transported to Clonakilla winery where Tim nurtures the grapes from juice to wine using all natural yeast ferments and hand plunging.
Innocence Viognier
The Viognier was hand harvested from our vineyard out near Wombat. The wine has zesty fresh characteristics with a palate situated somewhere between that of a Chardonnay and a Semillon.
Grove Estate Hilltops Nebbiolo
Pale ruby in the glass, with a pleasant red cherry and wild rose aroma. A savoury wine with fresh strawberry and lychee flavours. The palate shows a lovely high acidity giving it great potential to cellar for many years. An incredibly clean wine and a pure representation of Hilltops Nebbiolo from the pioneers of this variety in the region.
