This superb, richly sherried single malt has been matured for at least 28 years in a single Oloroso sherry puncheon. Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2022, this is a luxurious example of the finest sherry cask matured Highland Single Malt Whisky. Non-chill filtered, of natural colour and bottled at cask strength 52.9%, this GlenDronachSingle Malt Whisky is a full bodied dram.

Established in 1826 by James Allardice the Glendronach distillery was one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland. The hallmark of the distillery is the marriage of robust Highland spirit with the finest Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain. This dynamism brings exceptional depth, complexity, and character to their whiskies. Distilled in 1971, this 50 year old expression represents a milestone in the near two-hundred-year history of The GlenDronach Distillery and is the oldest single malt GlenDronach has ever released. This Glendronach 50 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has matured patiently over five decades in rare Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, from the Spanish bodegas of Jerez in Andalucía and has developed its deep natural colour over time from the Spanish oak in which it has rested. Personally selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, these exquisite casks have been married for a final maturation in a single PX cask. Only a small number of casks are chosen to reach such a celebrated age, with just 198 bottles released worldwide.
