Cullen Wines respectfully acknowledges the Wadandi people, past and present, traditional custodians of the land on which the wine was grown. The grapes for this wine were handpicked, sorted, and destemmed on a flower day in early March. The wines grown on these ancient soils are certified biodynamic, carbon positive, and naturally powered.

Cullen has been producing Mangan since 2001 and in this short period of time, it has roused plenty of interest. Mangan provides a thrilling smorgasbord of aromas, and a smooth and silky mouthful of cherries, blackberries and blueberries.

Cullen is a biodynamically farmed, carbon neutral, naturally powered estate in the heart of Margaret River. Vanya Cullen is one of Australia’s most celebrated winemakers, and was an early pioneer of farming grapes and producing wines in accordance with the biodynamic calendar. She is also the 2020 James Halliday Wine Companion Winemaker of the Year. Chenin Blanc was planted on the Cullen Vineyard Estate in 1976. This dessert wine is made from hand picked cane cut grapes with the fruit quality being exceptional, reflecting an excellent growing season. Pure, refreshing with a cleansing finish.

2018 was one of the great vintages for Wilyabrup and Cullen Wines.The balanced crops and weather produced perfectly ripened grapes which turned into vinous heaven for the wine drinker! Since taking over the reigns at Cullen in 1989, Vanya Cullen has taken this esteemed winery to new heights including winning for herself the Gourmet Wine Traveller Winemaker of the Year honours along the way. The Mangan Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is the sibling to the Cullen Vineyard version and shares the same level of elegance and flavour precision. Add to that precision an added layer of complexity and texture on the palate and you have what many consider to be Western Australia's premier 'classic dry white'.

Cullen, world famous for their Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot, have introduced another Cab Merlot, a distinguished offshoot of the Langton's classified Diana Madeline. Majority Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot and touch of Petit Verdot gives the wine a luscious, bright cherry flavour with red berries playing their part. Aged in French oak, 40% of which was new, for one year. Delicious to serve with veal, lamb or beef today, but will also reward up to 10 years in the cellar.

Certified biodynamic and organic. Magnificent pitch black colour with a very deep bright dark red black hue. On the nose a lovely mix of red to black currant and mulberry scents morph into violet, vanillin cedar, dried herb, tobacco, black olive and spicy bay leaf notes. Medium bodied, elegant and superbly structured, the palate features a tightly knit matrix of red to black currant, mulberry and black olive flavours. Bright youthful acidity and an assertive grainy tannin structure provide an iron girder like core. Notions of tobacco, dried herbs, vanillin cedar and spicy bay leaf infusions also chime in. Restrained and understated in its power at present it concludes long and rich yet compact. Cellar 10-20 years. Alc. 13%

The Cullen Amber Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is the first Amber wine made from Cullen Wines. It is a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc coming from our certified Biodynamic vineyards. The idea behind this wine was to make a white wine like a red.
