Light golden honey in colour with candied nuts, walnuts and hazelnuts on the nose as well as delicate and gentle smoke coming through with hay. Forward and straight pallet with juicy mouth feel, yet retaining a very gentle and sophisticated heat. Sweet apricots and peach dominate at first, leading to vanilla and subtle hints of ripe grape. Complex and long on the finish with lingering taste of dry herbs, leather and sweet pastry.

Taking inspiration from those great Tennessee Whiskeys and Kentucky Bourbons comes Australias first version of a sour mash whiskey. Using a classic grain bill of corn, rye and malted barley, sourced entirely from Western Australia, our full flavoured sour mash is bursting with tones of vanilla, caramel and hazelnuts. After its usual aging process in American oak casks, this Talisker whisky undergoes a second maturation which makes The Distillers Edition unique with the flavour profile being older, sweeter and richer than the regular bottling's. On the palate, crisp peat then softens to great richness in the mouth. Sweet, roasty malt with heathery dryness and a luscious, slightly oily sweetness with juicy fruit and vanilla.
