Satin pale yellow with golden nuances and jade highlights. Fine bubbles herald a fresh and fairly rich Champagne. Flowery scents of honeyed, honeysuckle petals, fruit aromas of crushed pear, candied lemon and peach, and soft, creamy notes with biscuit and fresh bread crust unfurl on first pour. After airing, denser, fruity notes of fig and pomegranate with flowery aromas of lily and sunflower and spice notes of star anise and liquorice are revealed. The Collection blend is dominated by Chardonnay which was of exceptional quality in the 2017 vintage. The perfectly ripe Chardonnay grapes lend the wine its aromas of ripe, sweet fruit complemented by subtle oaky notes. The palate is rich and ripe with a luxurious texture that coats the palate, the signature of an outstanding Chardonnay. The Pinot noir and Meunier grapes from the Vallée de la Marne complete the wines broad, luscious, smooth and juicy character. The finish is energetic and fresh.

A meticulous and confidential selection of magnificent terroirs. A common denominator of these soils: Campanian chalk, declined according to different exposures and depths. The Chardonnays of Côte des Blancs provide the main support for this cuvée and ensure its great elegance. On this solid basis, the northern terroirs of the Montagne de Reims and the hills of Nogent l’Abbesse contribute liveliness, structure and complexity. It is the harmonious association of these great terroirs which allows this cuvée to express an astounding freshness and a maturity worthy of an Apanage. Reserve wines to accentuate the aromas. As throughout the Pommery range, the collection of Pommery reserve wines supports the assemblage in a good proportion and enhances the sensation of great maturity of this cuvée. A long ageing in our historical cellars: As every Apanage, a prolonged ageing in the cellars provides this cuvée with the elegance and complexity which characterize it. This is an indispensable stage and one has to be patient to have all the subtleties of this assemblage revealed. The aperitif will be a privileged moment to appreciate this wine but caviar or a carpaccio of scallops with green lemon will reveal other facets of this cuvee. Remarkable elegance, the first nose reveals a spring freshness. Subtle floral notes of jasmine and acacia are harmoniously paired with delicate grades of linden. After this first impression of an incredible freshness, a large complexity reveals itself during which notes of citrus fruits and a creamy impression of frangipane express themselves alternately. The attack is open, without detour, as a sign of a very great assemblage. The elegance and freshness revealed on the nose can be found on the palate. The heart of the tasting is of an exemplary righteousness. The aromas of citrus fruits and white fruits (fresh apple) take over. The balance of the final is perfectly revealing the subtle flavor of yellow grapefruit.

The origin of the House dates back to 1812, created by André Michel Pierlot, it will take the name of Veuve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent decides to combine the two family names while she ensures the development. Eugénie Hortense Laurent, his daughter, inherited the House in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, née Lanson, in 1939. The 2012 Vintage is the choice of an exceptional year from which only a selection of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Grands Crus will enter into a future iteration of Grand Siècle. It is a rare and outstanding wine that expresses the character of the year in the Laurent-Perrier style. Laurent-Perrier very rarely makes vintages, declaring less than one out of two years compared with the market average of over three out of four years. The wine is white gold in colour with a fine sparkle. A flowery nose of great complexity, with notes of citrus and white peaches. A wine that is very present with a lively attack and great finesse with good minerality and notes of grapefruit on the finish. The Vintage 2012 pairs well with seafood and noble fish as well as with poultry or veal. This wine sublimates hard pressed cheeses such as a young Comté or a Beaufort.

A powerful bouquet with mixed ripe red fruits, Perrier Jouët Blason Rosé is a full bodied and structured wine with hints of violet and rose petal on the nose. Brings a pleasant savoury finish on the palate.
