Small Island Wines Pinot Pinot

Hughes & Hughes Pinot Noir

Under the Hughes & Hughes label, Young Gun of Wine 2018 'Best New Act' winemaker Jonathan Hughes, makes small-batch, regional Tasmanian Pinot and Chardonnay. Our allocations of these wines are strictly limited access this vintage now. Established by Hughes brothers Matthew and Jonathan in 2011, Mewstone produces wines only from the Flowerpot vineyard on the banks of the DEntrecasteaux Channel. The Hughes & Hughes label allows the brothers to explore the island by bringing together fruit sourced from around Tasmania. "Were in beautiful pinot noir drinking territory here."- Campbell Mattison The aim is drinkability. The wines they produce, like this Pinot Noir, sourced from the Coal River, Derwent and Huon Valleys, as well as the DEntrecasteaux Channel, are approachable yet full of character. Textural, idiosyncratic and quite rewarding for any Pinot attuned palate. H&H Chardonnay >
