MULLINE Portarlington Pinot Noir, Geelong 2021 Mulline (which rhymes with divine) was established by the two Bens, winemaker Ben Mullen and business manager Ben Hine, in 2018. Portarlington Pinot Noir imparts perfumes of red berries and pleasing herb aromas. The whole bunches are evident with a herbal character melded with red cherries, cranberry and brambly fruits finishing with soft, fine tannins and a lovely texture.

Cornelius Ribbe is a part time wine importer and part time winemaker at Paradigm Hill (Mornington Peninsula), while also making this very tasty wine. Classic Mornington Pinot, with some sappy red fruit, medium weight and savoury notes. Its ultra silky on the palate but maintains some nice structure making it perfect for glazed salmon.

The mid palate offers earthy cherry, plum notes, and some spice and whole bunch characters, firm tannins and a long finish. 15% whole bunches, wild yeast and matured in French oak puncheons (30% new) for 11 months bottled without fining and light filtration.
