From one of the Hunters oldest wineries, this stunning Shiraz exemplifies what the region can do with a great vintage, great fruit, and great winemaking. Bryan Currie and team, take a bow this wine is exceptional. In the glass: Deep red purple. On the nose: Plum, blackberry, black pepper and vanillin oak. On the palate: Shows a fleshy core of dark fruit with attractive peppery spice notes, well-judged vanillin oak and fine, savoury tannins.

A wonderful example of Hunter Shiraz. Ripe berries and spice with a touch of leather on the nose and a beautifully integrated palate showing plenty of juicy fruit flavour in a subtle well balanced style.

2022 was a cracking year for Verdelho in the Hunter Valley, so the fact that Boydells have made this sparkling says a lot about how high they regard this wine. A party pleaser!Pale and bright. Clean aromas of citrus, pineapple and stonefruit. Refreshing lemon and lime fruit entry with underlying peach and tropical fruit, silken texture, creamy mousse and a touch of sweetness balanced by mouth-watering acidity.

Born-and-bred Hunter Valley specialist, Aaron Mercer spent years at Tamburlaine, and had stints at Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood, before setting up on his own. He’s also worked in California, France and Germany so brings a great deal of experience to his winemaking, with a a great small-batch range from premium Hunter Valley sites, Tumbarumba and Orange. On the nose: Black and blueberry fruit, and spice. On the palate: Medium to full-bodied with luscious texture and soft tannins. Showing black cherry, blueberry and vanilla alongside red liquorice notes. Long and moreish.
