Lights Valley Barossa Valley Colonel Shiraz
Lights Valley wines commemorate Colonel William Light and his discovery and naming of Barossa Valley in 1837. Barossa Valley was named in memory of the British victory over the French in the Battle of Barrosa in 1811. However, due to clerical error the valley was misspelt Barossa. Tasting Notes: The Colonel Shiraz displays notes of black fruits, olive and restrained oak. With a fine tannin structure ensuring the palate has great depth, this is a classic Barossa Shiraz.

100 Year Old VINES SHIRAZ
The Barossa is home to some of the world’s oldest ungrafted Shiraz vines. The vines were planted in a pre-mechanized and pre-irrigation era where site selection was everything. Dry grown as bush vines with only the best soils, vine material and sites surviving the first years, and only the absolute pinnacle surviving the 100 years thereafter. The low-yielding ‘Centenarian’ vines, noted for their intensity of flavour, were planted more than a century ago around the time construction of the Château itself began. The select parcels are hand-picked and fermented in small open fermenters with hand plunging four times daily before careful basket pressing to extract tannin and colour. Suitable For Vegans And Vegetarians.
Blickinstal Black on Black Shiraz
Black on Black Shiraz from the depth of the Western side of the Barossawith grapes from Bethany, our dry grown vineyardsfrom some very old vines giving an average age over 30 years old. The fruit was allowed to fully ripen to ensure a good balance of acidity and fruit characters. Grapes were mainly hand picked and processed in the cool of the night, gently crushed and destemmed in open tanks with yeast added within 24hrs. Ferment was regularly hand plunged and turned over every day for a minimum of 10 days before beingrun off and pressed to tank ensuring lots of skin contact. The wine was then put to rest and carefully monitored and topped as needed for 24 months in smal French and American Oak barrels then only the best barrels were blended just prior to bottling. Pure black design with environmentally friendly water-based paint could provide an ideal environment for the wine and protect it from light. As a result, a good aging potential could be expected.

Penfolds Bin 389 Cab Shiraz LNY
Celebrate the Year of the Snake with an iconic Bin 389 Magnum presented in a Lunar New Year-inspired gift box. Bin 389 was often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’, in part because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange. First made in 1960 by the legendary Max Schubert, this was the wine that helped forge Penfolds reputation with red wine drinkers by combining the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz. Exemplifying the judicious balance of fruit and oak, Bin 389 highlights the generous mid-palate Penfolds is known for.
