Water Wheel is a historic winery located in the traditional wine region of Bendigo in central Victoria. Winemaker Peter Cumming continually produces a Shiraz with aromas of ripe berries, white pepper and chocolate that are also reflected on the palate which also displays attractive regional and varietal character. The depth of fruit and oak balance is excellent. Always a consistent performer, Water Wheel Shiraz is not only enjoyable upon release but is a reliable medium-term cellaring option.

Intense, textured and showing pure fruit flavours, Jester Shiraz is considered Mitolo's baby G.A.M Shiraz using the same barrels in which the G.A.M was previously aged in. The palate is full of bright, red berry flavours, a subtle herbal character and an overall savoury quality to the finish. On the palate: A terrific core of ripe red fruit with supple tannins, creamy depth and complexity and lovely oak and spice integration. Made from selected rows of the Schoolhouse Block at Glenguin's Hunter Valley vineyard, this wine is made for pairing with good friends and great food. A lively expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz with bright, ripe red fruits at it's core and an undercurrent of spicy oak, layered with fine tannins and a long finish.

This wine exhibits all the hallmark characteristics of Hunter Valley Shiraz, with a good level of spice backed up with a red berry palate, showing strength and complexity. We have aged this wine for a few years to ensure that it is ready for enjoyment on release.

These grapes were grown using Biodynamic practices and are Certified with the ACO. The wine was fermented naturally using wild yeast living in the vineyard. The wine was basket pressed and matured in small oak barrels for 12 months. The wine exhibits a ripe berry bouquet with a hint of white pepper on the palate. This wine will become well integrated and more complex with extended cellaring.
