Mount Pleasant Wines Estate Shiraz
Not many wineries encompass the Aussie spirit quite like Mount Pleasant. Established by Maurice O'Shea in 1921, they are the definition of resilience, strong connection to the land and hard work. The Hunter Valley shines in 2018 and shiraz is the vehicle in which we can best enjoy this beautiful wine growing region. Perfectly balance and intense, this wine is dying for some BBQ meats, a big steak or a hearty stew and will drink amazingly now and into the future, just make sure you've got enough stashed away because when a great vintage like this rolls around, the wines always disappear — buy up.
Kardinia Estate Shiraz 12
Famous for its varietal intensity and structure, this wine is a perfect example of what Hunter Valley can produce. Sourced from premium vineyard sites blessed with ideal growing condition, the fruit was handpicked at optimum ripeness preserving all the delicate flavours and tannins. This full-bodied Shiraz fills the palate with lovely plums and cassis and carries the undertones of oak on a fine tannin structure. The finish is long, juicy and everlasting.
