A thrilling must-try new white, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This fresh and elegant white exclusive takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. With an alcohol level of 9%, the Bream Creek Late Picked Schonburger displays light yellow hues. This dessert-style wine exudes delicate aromas of rose petals, apricots and honey with subtle hints of Turkish delight and baking spices from the luxurious bouquet. The palate is smooth and elegant with juicy characters of citrus, apricots and yellow peaches, leading to a clean and refreshing finish. This Sauvignon Blanc was grown on the unique Limestone vineyards of Kfar Tabor in the Galilee. The 30 year old vineyards are carefully tended throughout the year. This well balanced wine is fresh and crisp with beautiful citrus flavours and a hint of kiwi. This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and also some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.

Off dry with 13 grams residual sugar this wine is perfectly balanced with crisp acidity. Stone fruits, green apple a hint of perfume rounded up with a crisp saline finish.
