This Sauvignon Blanc was grown on the unique Limestone vineyards of Kfar Tabor in the Galilee. The 30 year old vineyards are carefully tended throughout the year. This well balanced wine is fresh and crisp with beautiful citrus flavours and a hint of kiwi. This wine shows an array of fruit characters, ranging from citrus through to tropical notes. This is complemented by some secondary characters from the natural yeast ferments and also some barrel aging. The palate has an elegant structure with a creamy, textural mid-palate and a long finish.

The majority of ripe grapes for this magnificent organic Sauvignon Blanc were fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel. The drink features a clear appearance, with just a hint of green. The soft bouquet offers subtle fragrances of white florals, stone fruits and fresh herbs. This multidimensional Urlar Sauvignon Blanc is rich and full on the palate, brimming with flavours of passionfruit, gooseberry and stone fruit. Lovely minerality balances this elegant palate, and together with all the elements, culminates in a satisfying finish. A late ripening season has resulted in zesty gooseberry bound tightly in white floral aromas, with a hint of dried hay. Ripe gooseberry and savoury floral notes introduce the wine before moving into a linear flowing mid-palate. There is a nice touch of urgency with more herbs and quince notes on the finish. This wine is ideal for sensible summer evening drinking. Mt Difficulty Sauvignon Blanc will improve for 3-5 years given optimal cellaring conditions.

Golden Chardonnay fruit from the Louis vineyard is cool fermented in tanks followed by extended lees contact prior to bottling. By not utilising the Burgundy technique of fermentation in oak casks this wine highlights the pure Chardonnay aromas and flavours of stone, citrus and melon fruits. The mouth-filling, smooth, fruit-salad flavours are harmoniously balanced by a refreshing crisp long finish.

Similar flavours run through an elegant, harmonious, refreshing and subtly complex, crisp palate. It’s thoroughly enjoyable as a young wine for any occasion, but is also suitable for short term cellaring.
