Vina Pedrosa is one of the most prestigeous wineries in Spain. This wine is a 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), cask aged for 12 months in oak showing a beautiful ruby red colour. It has distinguishable aromas of fresh fruit underscored by notes of cedar wood and liquorice with a most elegant mineral touch. Powerful and enveloping in the mouth. Marqués de Riscal began with a dream back in 1858 and over 150 years later, the Bodega decided to commemorate the 150th Anniversary with a Gran Reserva Rioja that befitted the history and standing of such great wines. The result it this outstanding Tempranillo blend from the 2001 vintage, a truly special vintage in the Rioja region. Dark cherry in colour with complex aromas of balsamic, charred wood and layers of spices. The palate follows with a viscous mouthfeel with a good concentration of tannins and acid structure. A truly remarkable Rioja that pays a great tribute.

Their La Reto Tempranillo is a lovely balance of old world Spanish characteristics and a modern, perfumed attractiveness. Red berries, plums and hints of liquorice are all present along with a delicious minerality to give this wine that extra dimension.

An incredible Spanish Wine from Ribera del Duero, the Burgundy of Spain.Made with 100% "Tinto Fino" grapes and matured for 6 months in French Oak barrels. This wine is made with grapes from single estate vineyards with following a criteria of ecological production.Once in the cellar, the grapes in 16 kg crates go to the table where they are selected and chosen, separating any cluster that does not meet the stringent criteria of maturity, health and cleanliness.The destemming is done directly over each tank, so the grapes arrive intact to the fermentation vessel where the maceration is performed. Even the yeasts for alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation bacteria are indigenous, existing naturally in the skins of the grapes themselves. As a result the wine transfer the same ecological character getting the title of Ecological Wine.In the nose you find a very well structured wine with some creamy and toasted barrel aging touches. In your mouth wait for a smooth entry with ripe velvety tannins. Long, elegant, fresh and very well balanced across palate.This is a great wine that definitely is worth to try. The best Vintage in 2011 got a stunning score of 91 points in 'Wine Spectator' and since then this wine earned a prestigious position in Ribera del Duero as a high quality wine..
