This iconic red wine is a tribute to the Barossa region. Deep red in colour with ruby hues, this wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums supported by subtle hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich, round and persistent with concentrated berry fruit and hints of aniseed. Twelve months barrel maturation in seasoned and new oak has enhanced the complexity, grainy tannins and length of flavour.

Brothers at War Single VIneyard Mataro The fruit for this single-vineyard Mataro comes from 80+-year-old vines from the Pendee Farm vineyard in Eden Valley. Fermented with natural yeast and 30% whole bunches with the balance being destemmed, not crushed, leaving the berries whole. The wine was hand plunged twice daily for two weeks before being pressed to seasoned French oak hogsheads then aged on lees for a year before bottling without fining or filtration.

Strong Cabernet traits of black coffee, dark mint chocolate and earthy notes, whilst the Barossa Shiraz shines through the glass with aromas of plum, dark cherry and spice. Vibrant and complex, the Cabernet notes continue on the palate, whilst the thick and luxurious Shiraz provides lovely dark cherry and spice with a smook as cream finish.

The Eduard is sourced from three dry-grown vineyard blocks that were planted between 1905 and 1960 and which produce extremely low yields. Named after Karl Heinrich 'Eduard' Kalleske who worked the Kalleske vineyards from 1853 until the 1880s. Showing an intense, powerful and full-bodied nose and palate exhibiting dense classic Barossa old vine Shiraz characters.
