Each 500ml hand-crafted cocktail lid is manually dipped in wax with a silver foil swing tag, presented in a hand wax dripped, thick cardboard cylinder box. As each Gift Box is manually waxed, no two boxes are the same, some minor organic imperfections may be visible.Old Fashioned:The Old Fashioned is said to have been first created at the Pendennis Club, a famous gentlemens club in Louisville, Kentucky in 1881 in honour of Colonel James E. Pepper famed bourbon distiller, who then introduced it to New York high society during his frequent visits to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York. They clearly embraced it, given how the infamous Mad Men had such a taste for it 80 years later in the 1960s Manhattan advertising scene. The Old Fashioned has had a makeover or two over its time. But this smooth, bitter, sweet simplicity of Bulleit Straight Bourbon Whiskey, traditional Angostura Bitters, and sugar cane syrup is a tonic that Don Draper himself would approve of.Serving Suggestions:Serve Dr Onyx Old Fashioned gently swirled in a short glass over ice, with a twist of orange zest. Pinch the zest so the oils spray over the drink before dropping it into the glass.

The spelling of the term ‘Whisky’ alters by country, Scottish, English, Welsh, and Canadian whiskies use ‘Whisky’, while the Irish use ‘Whiskey’. Scottish Whisky must be aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years, where it is known as the ‘spirit of the Gods’. This might explain the ‘Angel’s Tax’, used to describe the amount of whisky lost each year to evaporation during the ageing process. They must be happy little Angels over Scotland. With more than 30 bottles of whisky exported from Scotland each second, there’s clearly enough left over for the rest of us whisky lovers. The aim with this Gin was to only use Tas native botanicals. I discovered some very impressive native berries, leaves and seeds however they could only be wild harvested which meant I could not get enough quantity to make it practical enough for an ongoing production. I have still been able to use some Tasmanian native botanicals however I have now broadened the list to only Australian native botanicals (plus the Juniper). Iam using 6 Native Australian botanicals with 3 of them never used before in any other Gin.All of my botanicals are vapour infused which is a technique not used too often with Australian Gins. Vapour infusion (as opposed to steeped) will give the Gin a much more delicate and subtle bouquet. My Gin is designed to smell beautiful. There will be delicate petal and citrus aromas with a hint of cut hay.

Balvenie Caribbean Cask was created by The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, who celebrated an incredible 50th anniversary at the distillery in 2012. This single malt has had a 14-year maturation period in traditional oak whisky casks, before being transferred to casks that previously held Caribbean rum to finish aging.

Matured in port puncheons, Limeburners Whisky is aged for up to 8 years. The resulting single malt is all spice and fruit with aromas of port and vanilla on the nose, barley, honey, raisins and caramel on the palate and finishes smooth.

Sasanokawa Shuzo Co. Ltd was founded in 1765 and started producing whisky in 1946. The Yamazakura is a ji-whisky made by Sasanokawa Shuzo Co.This particular Black Label bottle is a new Yamazakura product that was released in 2015. Smooth after taste is refreshing with a hint of sweetness. Enjoyable both on the rocks or neat.
