Lone Star Creek Estate Shiraz
Lovers of Rhone shiraz can't afford to miss this wine. A fantastic winemaker, put in charge of some super highly regarded vineyards and graced with a wonderful vintage, theres no surprise this wine turned out how it did - utterly delicious. Long before Lone Star Creek began producing their own wines, they were supplying grapes to some of the Yarra's heaviest hitters. It's this intricate understanding of the land, climate and conditions that allows for the production of wines like this: spicy and robust, with bright acid and a lovely richness to the fruit. A regionally expressive drop with tasting notes that read almost like a cool climate shiraz cliché, blackcurrant, violets, black pepper and lingering spice. Mid-weight fruit, silky tannins and long, peppery finish. Balanced and beautiful and best of all, ready to drink.
Soumah Syrah
'Beautifully vibrant Shiraz from the Yarra Valley and very keen on expressing its regional and climatic personality with blue to red fruits rather than the dark to black. Its concentrated in the mouth with garden herb spices of bay and mint giving further depth with a subtle oak spicing for a final flourish.' - 4.5 Stars - Tony Love.
