Woodlands Cabernet Merlot is one of the regions best examples. The Watson brothers are the custodians of a family heritage in Margaret River that continues to this day. The Cabernet Merlot has attractive and complex aromas of dark berry and plum supported by well integrated vanillin oak. Punt e Mes is an Italian vermouth, dark brown in color and has a bitter flavour. Punt e Mes literally means "point and a half" in Piedmontese, referring to the flavor being characterised as one point of sweetness and half a point of bitterness. It can be used as a substitute for regular rosso vermouth in drinks such as the Manhattan. Punt e Mes has a strong, distinctive flavour, half-way between regular rosso vermouth and Campari.

Fromm's passion for Pinot Noir is reflected in the attention to detail shown in the vineyard and throughout the winemaking process. Carefully selected clones and rootstocks, together with intensive vineyard care and low cropping, means the vines produce fruit that illustrates the terroir in which they were grown. Today in the Fromm stable of vineyards there are eleven clones, 4000 - 5000 vines per hectare, with crop levels around five to six tonnes per hectare. The blend which makes up each years La Strada Pinot Noir by Fromm depends on what nature has given in each of their vineyards. Invariably, the wine is strongly varietal, fruity and has immediate appeal.

Rich and structured, it is balanced between fruit and the oak wood.
