Crafted at the acclaimed San Nicolas distillery in the Los Altos region of Jalisco Espolon Reposado is a bold full bodied tequila with vanilla and brown spice flavours and a long, spicy finish.

In 1999, Guillermo Erickson Sauza decided to bring back the old Sauza family distillery to life. Today he produces Tequila Fortaleza there using 100% stone-milled agave, entirely produced on the estate which lies right in the middle of the town of Tequila. Fortaleza Blanco Tequila is unaged. It has an amazingly soft texture and vegetal sweetness with a long and satisfying finish.

Appearance: Soft and bright straw colour, medium bodied Nose: Woody tequila, with sensations that evoke nuts, subtle notes of vanilla and cinnamon Taste: Soft alcohol sensation, with delicate notes of wood, vanilla, nuts and spices, with a long stay in the mouth that invites to be taken alone.

Despite its long ageing, this minimum 30-month blend is not overtly sweet or oaky; it has a drier style, which is full of spice and character from its highland terroir. Cooked agave is present with a fine mixture of dried fruits, almonds and roasted coffee. There is a subtle and masked fudginess reminiscent of dark cocoa that emerges from the depth in its long and slightly dry finish.
