Marquis de Sauval XO is an aged, sweeter style of Armagnac. This has notes of toffee, honey and nuts.

Armagnac from the Bas region is considered to have the most finesse, also tending to yield spirits that are very supple in their youth. Plantings are mostly Bacco and Ugni Blanc. The Northwestern portion of the Bas-Armagnac (known casually as the Grand Bas Armagnac) has a concentration of quality producers, especially in the department of Les Landes. Comte de Lamaestre Vieil Armagnac 1967 is made from Ugni blanc and colombard and is deep amber in colour. Aromas of cedar oak, zesty citrus and flint. The palate is full bodiedyet soft and supple light aged leather with surprising length, echoing back minutes after the final sip.

Brown with orange reflections. Rancio nose with hints of roasted hazelnuts. Unctuous and fluid mouth where mix rancio and candied orange.

Lights frank nose of light wood when warmed gives this Armagnac a woody note, at once discreet and blond. Fresh mouth revealing all the youthfulness of this already well-balanced Armagnac…

Golden colour, well developed woody nose, lots of vanilla with floral notes, mouth not very aggressive marked by a gentle attack of vanilla and spices; the wood then comes back creating length.

Woody notes, cocoa & chocolate Grapes: Baco - Ugni Blanc Soft and caressing mouth Tasting Notes: Amber tends to brown, with a mild nose, dominated by the wood of slowly matured rancio, with a supple, caressing mouth in which the alcohol gives way to notes of wood, rancio, cocoa, chocolate and more as you warm the glass.
