Ballinaclash is a small pick-your-own orchard, vineyard and cellar door, owned and run by Peter & Cath Mullany and their six children. It is situated near Young, in the Hilltops cool-climate region of New South Wales. Ballinaclash prides itself in growing the best possible fruit for its customers, and producing boutique style products and single vineyard wines made exclusively from their fruit.

A superb example of the classic Australian blend of Shiraz and Cabernet, with fruit sourced primarily from vineyards across the Limestone Coast region of South Australia.Deep garnet to purple. Developing blackberry, plum, cassis, black pepper & cedar. A dark, brooding, full-bodied style, rich in dark berry fruit flavours, soft and velvety yet immense tannin foundation, deluxe cedary oak and a powerful finish.

The grapes were picked in the cool of the early morning and transported directly to the winery for crushing. After draining off skins, the wine was fermented at a cool temperature with neutral yeast over a two week period. After fermentation, the wine remained on yeast lees with regular bâtonnage for a number of months to enhance weight and mouthfeel. The selected parcel was fined and filtered prior to bottling in September. Brilliant pale straw with a very slight tinge of varietal bronze. Aromas of nashi pear, crunchy apples, nectarine and honeysuckle. Bright fresh and fleshy fruit flavours of peach and nectarine, soft textural mid palate with a touch of viscosity followed by a crisp, freshening citrus acidity finish perfectly balanced with a touch of residual sweetness. Enjoy with Spencer Gulf kingfish, celtuce, green daikon & smoked dashi, or charcoal roasted squid and pork belly with smoky chilli and roasted red onion.

This mixed lineup of celebration wines is the rosé, which crowns any festivity with its allure. Crafted using the french Saignee method (draining juice off skins) and cold fermention, which results in an irresistable wine that is as visually appealing as it is flavourful. Loads of flavour here, but not as much oakiness as you might think. Sure, it's there, but the vibrancy and depth of the fruit more than compensates. Dark fruit freshened by minty regional undertones, great length and smoothness brought about by 5 years in our cellar, and you have a terrific Coonawarra cabernet.
