In 1991, Tahbilk husband and wife team of winemaker Alister Purbrick and artist Rosa Dal Farra decided to combine their talents to produce a range of alternative varietal wines showcased under Rosas boldest art works. Now widely known and made, these varieties validate the foresight Tahbilk had.
Vina Pomal Crianza
It has Picota cherry red with violet hues. It has high aromatic intensity from flowers, black fruits and liquorice with hints of vanilla and roasted coffee. It is supple, balanced and fresh on the palate with good structure and mild tannins and soft tannins. It matches perfectly with mild dishes such as rice, cheeses, pâtés, casseroles, greens, fish as well as with dishes that traditionally pair well with red vintage wines. It is now at an optimum time to be drunk and will continue to gain complexity for 3 or 4 more years.
Vina Pomal Reserva
Aspect: It has deep picota cherry red with an intense ruby rim. Nose: It is intense and elegant. It has floral notes and red fruit which blend with sweet spices Vanilla and roasted coffee. Mouthfeel: It has a long lingering finish with the balance of great Riojas. Pairing: This wine makes a perfect pairing with rice dishes, vegetables, venison and red meats. Consumption period: The wine is at its optimum consumption time but may develop favourably for another 6 more years, if kept in an proper conditions.
Bonavita Tinto Portugal
From one of Portugal's leading producers, this wine is made from four grapes Shiraz, Tinta Roriz, Castelão and Touriga Franca harvested later than usual to achieve a greater ripeness and smoothness. It results in a deep and inky wine, with ripe plum and blackcurrant aromas. In the mouth it shows prune, fig and cherry fruit notes. Chocolate and liquorice flavours, given by ageing in oak barrique, dominate a long and smooth aftertaste.

Vina Pedrosa is one of the most prestigeous wineries in Spain. This wine is a 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) cask aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (Allier). The wine is coming from a plot called La Navilla. It is an exceptional parcel, where the authentic clone of Tinto Fino grafted from the old vineyards of the Pérez Pascuas brothers, reaches its maximum extent and singularity. At of 844 meters altitude over sea level, it leads to a very special microclimate. La Navilla is a very fresh wine.
