In 1964 Jim Barry purchased 28ha of prime vineyard land in the Armagh district from Duncan McRae Wood. Shiraz was the first variety planted, and the McRae Wood property was the foundation of Barrys red wine production. The McRae Wood Shiraz in an unabashedly bold Clare Valley red thats big with plenty of oaky backbone. Black and red forest fruits (think cherry and plum) with a touch of vanilla and spice, its incredibly concentrated with a long, pleasing finish.

This premium Shiraz is rich with intense plum and cedar oak. Gentle tannins wrap the palate with blackberry and raspberry, with a smooth long finish.

The Aberfeldy vineyard is located only 5 kilometres from the town centre of Clare and was planted way back in 1904 by the Birks family of Wendouree fame. This single vineyard Clare Shiraz is rich and full bodied with hints of mulberry, blackberry and vanilla. An impressive wine with great cellaring potential.

The Adelina vineyards are situated in Spring Farm Valley, just south of the township of Clare. Hand-picked, the Estate Shiraz fruit is detemmed and mildly crushed, fermentation and maceration occurs over approx 35 days and the wine is pressed to barrel for malo and maturation.

Wendouree has achieved cult status with its tiny production from ancient vines. Luscious dark berry Shiraz fruits and some meaty characters run through the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins.

This is the 6th year in a row, bringing them to an incredible 8 wins of this coveted international award. The inaugural vintage of a classic Australian composition, the Morrison Shiraz Cabernet is delightful in its youth, while being built for longevity. Shiraz sourced from the Morrison vineyard and Cabernet grown on the opposite ridge. 96pts and multiple Golds and this is only the beginning!
