This premium Shiraz is rich with intense plum and cedar oak. Gentle tannins wrap the palate with blackberry and raspberry, with a smooth long finish.

Medium red with a purple hue in the glass, Jim Barry The Forger Shiraz opens with a brooding array of purple fruits with a hint of violet lift then countered with notes of cinnamon and sweet oak char. The palate is packed with the rich brambly fruit which follows on from the nose. Fine, chalky tannins give the wine a plush, velvety texture that fills the length of the palate. The Forger has a rich, lingering, persistent finish and is ideal for cellaring.

Mr Mick's favourite red variety was without doubt, Shiraz. From his early days working in the vineyards to the end of his amazing career 57 years later, wines made from Clare Valley Shiraz captivated him with their power and elegant synergism. This wine seeks to emulate just that style, elegant and yet dense and flavoursome, gentle enough to sit and taste, and great with food.

We love this wine. It's medium-bodied and just rolls off the tongue with all manner of delicious appealing flavours. The palate has an enticing mix of cloves and spices with a little blackcurrant character. The palate is generous with silky tannins and nice creamy oak with a lovely delicious finish.

Winemaker, Mitchell Taylor brings this full-bodied red to life with bold, ripe fruit and plush, firm tannin. Wendouree has achieved cult status with its tiny production from ancient vines. Luscious dark berry Shiraz fruits and some meaty characters run through the full-bodied palate with ripe tannins.
