GinGin. A clone from California, perhaps, but a wine with all of the hallmarks of the Jura. Golden to the eye with an open, slightly oxidative nose (think cashew nuts). Juniper berries and alpine wild flowers with a fresh, rounded texture. Born in the Piccadilly Valley not far from Swaby geographically, made identically in the winery, but ultimately continents apart stylistically. 100% Piccadilly Chardonnay, handpicked, wild-yeast fermentation, whole bunch pressed to barrel, some bâttonage, 10 months in 25% new French oak, unfiltered and unfined, only 50 dozen made.

Commune Of Buttons ABC Chardonnay, Basket Range
COMMUNE OF BUTTONS ABC Chardonnay, Basket Range, Adelaide Hills Commune of Buttons began with a single dream between brother and sister, to continue as second-generation growers of grapes. The ABC is an exciting Chardonnay from the Buttons family vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Whole bunches are pressed in stainless steel tanks and then allowed to go through a wild ferment in the barrel before bottling. This has the distinctive hallmarks of natural wine whilst maintaining a textural, bright and clean freshness.
Atlas Wines Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
The fruit for this wine was grown at the Hill Smith Vineyard at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills. The vines at this east-facing vineyard grow in alluvial loam, limestone, shale and quartz, at an altitude of around 400m. Thanks to near-perfect weather, 2021 promises to be one of the best Adelaide Hills vintages in recent memory.

Story: K1 Chardonnay is styled to accentuate the characters of Kuitpo’s cool growing conditions and terroir. The fruit is gently handled to ensure aromatics are retained, with French oak and partial malolactic fermentation used to enhance the wine’s purity of fruit character. Vintage: The 2023 vintage was very cool and very even in temperature, so we were able to harvest each variety in its perfect window of premium ripeness for the intended wine styles. This was the third cool year in a row and the fruit flavours across the board were exceptional. Nose: Enticing aromas of ripe stone fruit and zesty lemon are enriched by hints of fresh coconut, creamy vanilla, and toasted hazelnut. Palate: A luxurious blend of yellow apple, pie crust, and yellow peach, complemented by almond meal and a touch of warming nutmeg.
