Chardonnay-dominant and traditionally-made, this vintage Méthode has seen three years on lees prior to disgorging. Complexity, texture and persistence define this elegant wine. A spark on entry leads to a lovely weighty palate, checked by refined acid tension that delivers elegance and an incredibly long, persistent finish. The bead is very fine, giving an endearing lightness. Red apple, roasted hazelnut and buttered toast with warm bready yeast notes.

Lovely light bead, gently bottle carbonated by the French method which means hand riddling and disgorging to remove the yeast from the bottle. Not too acidic and lovely fruit on the palate.

The colour has a slight tinge of pink from the Pinot Noir portion of the blend. The palate is well structured and elegant, with crisp apple and citrus elements from the fresh acidity of the grapes. This freshness is complexed with the yeasty nuttiness that is derived from 24 months of aging on the yeast lees in the bottle. The dosage sweetness added on disgorging is minimal and balances the finish on the palate perfectly. Together these characteristics produce a wine of great complexity that fill the mouth over the length of the whole palate. The overall richness weight and structure of the wine will see it greatly improve with further careful cellaring over the next 10 years.

This Sparkling rose by Jansz is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot meunier. Intense aromas of Turkish Delights, rosewater and strawberries fill the nose, while the mouth comes alive with luscious layers of Pinot truffles and the creaminess of bright rose and strawberry fruits.

Harvested from 558 vines, clone Gm239, each vine was cordon cut and fruit was left hanging for a further 12 days. The result is a wine with flavours of honey and citrus blossom, full bodied with wonderful length with a hint of oak adds to the superb complexity. Some whole bunch and new oak barrels deliver flavours of mint, blackcurrant &; plum, bright purple with a sweet jamminess that is balanced brilliantly with 25% new French oak (9 months) and gentle tannins. Hints of white pepper, spice and earthiness give this wine a long future.

The K1 Shiraz reflects the generosity of the K1 vineyard terroir on the Shiraz variety. This wine offers vibrant aromas of cool climate berries and spice. The palate is tight, concentrated and complex with notes of plums and cherries.
