The goal from the outset for Italicus was to create a spirit that had exceptional provenance. All the ingredients are 100% Italian, taking the best examples from different regions: Bergamot from Calabria; Cedro from Sicilia; Roman Camomile from Tuscany; Lavender, Gentian, Yellow Roses and Melissa Balm from Piemonte. Our neutral grain spirits are also Italian. Even our cap and bottle are made in Italy. And we do not add any refined sugar or syrup, instead we naturally sweeten our liqueur with a natural brown sugar (cane sugar) in order to respect the Rosolio production process as it was back in the 15th Century. In Italicus everything is natural, everything is Italian.

Milder and sweeter than the famous Green Chartreuse, Yellow Chartreuse was introduced to the world in 1838. It also is presented in the traditional Chartreuse liqueur bottle embossed with the seal of La Grande Chartreuse. Its colour is entirely natural with no artificial flavours or preservatives. It, too, can be enjoyed neat or in a long drink. To bring out all its flavour, it should be consumed very cold, even on the rocks.

The delicate coconut flavor and mild sweetness perfectly balanced the bold notes of the 1800 Silver, yielding a unique, tropical taste experience. Domaine de Canton is made from only the finest ingredients; hand-cut young Vietnamese ginger macerated with herbs and spices, honey from Provence, Tahitian vanilla and Tunisian ginseng. Domaine de Canton is eau de vie based, enhanced with 10% VSOP and XO Grande Champagne Cognacs. Delicious served on its own, over ice or in a number of modern style cocktails.

Tasting note: Made from 100% Arabica beans (reportedly, some other brands rely on artificial flavouring). Fabulous burnt umber appearance is thick and glass staining. Issues aromas of freshly roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate and vanilla. The tequila base is more salient in the mouth, with a creamed-up texture that’s akin to coffee flavoured milk with a splash of tequila and dark chocolate for good measure.
