Corowa Characters pays homage to the four “lads” who make up the production team at Corowa Distilling Co. This whisky is combination of American, French, & Hungarian wine casks that have come together to produce a very approachable, flavoursome drink at a very attractive price point for an Australian single malt.

The team behind Morris Distillery has over six generations of craftsmanship in winemaking, blending and aging passed down through bloodline. This has allowed them to really master the production of the truly remarkable flavour in their Australian Single Malt Whisky. Maturated in a combination of French and American oak ex-Australian red wine casks and finished in barrels that have held our Morris of Rutherglen 10yr-Aged Amber Apera (Sherry). The Aged Amber is a full flor fino, produced predominantly from the Palomino grape. It exhibits a drier style, showing elegance and complexity from years of long-term aging in cask, making it a beautiful compliment to the whisky. The result is a well integrated and very approachable Australian single malt which the broad whisky consumer can embrace. A nose of Spun toffee, baked fruit flan with peach compote and fresh sherry cask notes. A well-structured whisky with subtle spice, toasted nut and clean oak characters, candied lemon with gentle sage and marjoram herbal notes.

It all began in 2015 when two mates from Adelaide hatched a crazy plan to start a gin distillery. Artisan Victorian barley is sourced to begin the bespoke process which ends up in aged Australian Apera casks that have been re-coopered, re-toasted and re-sized. An award winner, this tripled distilled in a copper pot and macerated for 3 days using 14 Australian native botanicals (plus one non-native). The navy strength is a citral driven Gin that has been tricked up with lemon-scented gum, ginger and pepper berry.

Australia first smoked gin Bushfire is a smokey, unique gin based on an original London dry gin recipe but with the original ingredients substituted for our own Australian native botanicals. The individual botanicals have been smoked with Iron Bark to uncover a rich, smokey palate with sweet hints of maple.

Some say it evolved from the traditional Tequila Daisy (Margarita is Spanish for Daisy), similar to the Margarita with more focus on lemon and lime, than the balance of orange liquor in the Margarita. Others say it was created in a Tijuana bar for the Ziegfeld dancer Majorie King. Another popular story is that it was created by socialite Margarita Sames for guests at her Acapulco holiday home. Regardless of how it originated, the blend of Tequila, Cointreau Liqueur, and lime is one of the most popular cocktails of choice.Serving Suggestions:To serve, line the rim of a tumbler with fresh lime and dip the rim in salt. Fill the glass with ice, then pour Dr Onyx Margarita. Add a squeeze of fresh lime and drop in a lime wedge to complete your south of the border experience.

6x 100ml Bottles.Manhattan:The first skyscrapers began to change the skyline of Manhattan Island in the 1880s, just as NYCs Manhattan Club claims they created the first Manhattan cocktail. And its making just as big an impact 140 or so years later, capturing all the glamour and excitement of New York City in a glass. The Manhattan has stayed true to its origins, mixing American Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, and traditional Angostura Bitters. During Prohibition (19201933) Canadian whisky was primarily used because it was more readily available. Just like its namesake, and the people who call it home, it has survived wars and prohibition, recessions and depressions. Serving Suggestions:To serve, pour Dr Onyx Manhattan into a mixing glass filled with ice, stir well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass or in a short glass over ice.
