Henskens Rankin Vintage Brut
Crafted from tiny parcels of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%) from Tasmania's Piper's River, Coal River Valley and Tasman Peninsula this fine beaded bubbly spent six years on yeast lees. It was well worth the wait, being notably elegant, harmonious and fresh with pretty white florals, nougat, citrus zest and a long, dry savoury mineral finish.
Dictador 12 Year Old Colombian Rum
Made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in steel continuous column, to achieve a medium body rum. Ron Botran 12 Year Old Anejo Reserva Dark Rum
Ron Botran 12 Añejo is aged using the solera method, so it is a blend of rums aged between 5 and 12 years old. Produced at the same distillery as Ron Zacapa, it is distilled from "virgin sugar cane honey"The Botran family is commonly known for sugarcane production in Guatemala, but in 1939 they decided to begin a journey by establishing Industria Licorera Quetzalteca. The five brothers agreed that the ultimate place to age rum in Guatemala was Quetzaltenango. Since that day they have been involved in all the details regarding their rum production. Although the nurturing process has evolved, it all began with the nurturing process called Sistema Solera. This process implies the integration of young and old rums, as they mellow for years in white oak barrels. They are the first family that produced Guatemalan rum, nowadays they continue producing one of the worlds finest quality rums. Solera 1893 and Reserva high quality rums have won many worldwide awards for their intricacy, profundity and signature sweet flavour.
