Award winning wines have been the modus operandi for the Tate family since the mid-70s. That pedigree and know-how can be tasted in this bottle of hand crafted Margaret River Cabernet Merlot. Regional notes of bay leaf, eucalypt and dry, tannins are supported by a lush and vibrant blue and black fruit backbone that continues on the palate for what seems like a lifetime. Church Block first appeared back in 1972 under the watchful eye of Greg Trott and was taken by one of the original vineyards that ran alongside the small Bethany Church, across the road from Wirra Wirra's old ironstone cellars. Over the last 4 decades, it has become one of Australia's favourites. The 2005 Church Block is showing just what a little patience can do. After six years, the velvet texture is the dominant feature with integrated tannin taking a backseat.

Brookland Valley Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a great style to serve well chilled on a warm day. Lively aromas of lime, snow-pea and lemongrass are appealing and the palate brims with tropical fruit and citrus flavours.

Made by iconic winery Howard Park, the fruit for MadFish Gold Turtle Shiraz is sourced from the South West of the state where Shiraz thrives. This wine has sweet berry and spice characters complemented by a touch of white pepper and well handled French oak. Lovely!

Made naturally, bottled scientifically - The See, Hear, Speak No Evil wines aim to establish a new benchmark for quality and consistency for Preservative Free Wines through a combination of boutique, small batching winemaking and industry leading, technical ability for preparation and bottling. The Shiraz is medium bodied but plush with a core of ripe berry fruit flavours, plums and smoky spice matched by fine tannins and a precise structure.

The Yellow Tail Shiraz has aromas of ripe berries and sweet vanilla. Spicy, sweet fruit flavours on the palate are matched with subdued earthy tones and fine tannins.

Logan's Apple Tree Flat wines pay homage to the people, places and experiences of the Logan winery on the label, but also within the bottle. Quality, varietal and terroir specific can be used to describe these wines and inparticular the Shiraz. In the glass the wine is a lovely crimson red colour which precedes a nose of fresh red berries and hint of earthen tones. In the mouth the wine truly sings with a mixture of berries, plums and spice.

Dan Murphy's Cleanskin range is the best in the country and this is proof. You'll be hard pressed to find good quality Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc Semillon for anything close to this price! Great flavours of gooseberry and passionfruit with a nice subtlety from the addition of Semillon. A fantastic food-wine, especially with fresh seafood.
