Our Barolo comes from the best plots of seven cru. The diversity of soils, exposure and altitude characterises each of these small but very important terroir. Unifying these diversities, the Barolo offers harmony and complexity with an overall character of the zone. Paolo Scavino owns 29 hectares entirely in the Barolo area and works on 20 Barolo historical crus located in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, La Morra, Novello, Serralunga d'Alba, Verduno and Roddi. The Scavino family distinguishes itself from the beginning by their scrupulous care of the vineyards and passion for terroir. Their core beliefs is the supremacy of the viticulture above the oenology therefore the focus is the care of the vines in order to grow ripe and healthy grapes. In winemaking minimal and equal intervention are sought, to preserve natural diversities, terroir.

Brilliant ruby to garnet red in colour. Among the aromatics we recognise rose hip, violet, iodate perfumes, ashes, tobacco, white peaches, red cherries, balsamic elements such as fresh mint to name some. On the palate it's full on energy and all about freshness and finesse. The acidity is sharp, the tannins have a beautiful tension yet they are harmonious in the structure. Bricco Ambrogio has an intense and multifaced aromatic spectrum. The core is soft and polished through a beautiful acid-tannic balance. There is an underlying depth in this Barolo and the finish is long and nuanced.

Michele Chiarlo was founded in 1956 by the sole and present owners, Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over seven generations of esteemed wine growers, Michele is today one of the most respected producers of the fine wines of Piedmont and a leading figure in its viticultural industry. Asili is a relatively new cru within the Barbaresco DOCG. It is said that the blue-grey calcareous marl and clay here contribute to the complexity of the wines here, along with their delicate and refined characters. Delicately perfumed, with characters of pure red fruits and gently aromatic, floral notes, supported by fine spices. Silky tannins frame a core of red berry fruits. Extremely charming, elegant and approachable.

Planted by Silvano Reverdito in 1967, the year of his marriage, the Bricco Cogni vineyard is located in the comune of La Morra. It produces extremely fine and elegant Barolo Docg wines. From Michele Reverdito’s favourite Cru comes Barolo Bricco Cogni DOCG. Garnet red with orange highlights, complex bouquet with spicy notes including liquorice. On the palate rich, full and complex with harmonious tannins, fine and elegant.

This Cru in the commune of La Morra is located on a gently sloping hillside. The section owned by the Reverdito family produces wines which Alessandro Masnaghetti, in his guide to Barolo MGAs, defines as “warm-hearted”. These grapes produce Barolo Docg Ascheri. Garnet red with orange highlights, spicy bouquet with a hint of forest floor. Full-bodied and harmonious in the mouth, with fine tannins.

In The Cellar the maceration is carried out at controlled temperature for 15 days in steel tanks with daily and manual pumping over; the maceration is followed by the delestage during high fermentation. The maximum temperature during the fermentation process is 29 ° C. This, not only, allows us to get a good polyphenolic extraction, but it also limits excessive volatilization of fruity aromas. The malolactic fermentation and the aging are made in big Austrian’s oak barrels of 30 HL in order to preserve perfumes and qualities typical of the native territory.
