Macerated on skins for 10 days before being pressed into temperature controlled tanks to finish fermentation. Aged in 15% new oak, mostle French and some Hungarian for 18 months.

The palate is soft and juicy withhints of vanilla, spice and chocolate, supported by fine-grained tannins and perfectly integrated Frenchoak. A soft, fruit driven style of wine that is reflective of its regional varietal characteristics, displaying fruitpurity, structure and balance.

Elegant flavours of dark cherry and star anise are supported by sweet tannins, the typical line and length of this variety enhanced by a fine backbone of cedary mocha oak.

The perfume is driven by a combination of violets, ripe cherries and cedar notes. A powerful palate of plums, black currants andnuances of bay leaf. The bouquet shows great density, ripe concentrated blackcurrant, anise, black cardamom and lifted lavender with hints of black olives and plum aromas. The entry on the palate is soft and succulent whilst displaying a subtle texture with a black core of fruit including boysenberry, dark cherries and olive tapinade. The tannin and acid are seamlessly integrated from the front through to the long and lingering finish.
