A much-loved South Aussie red, this blended red is rich in black fruits that fill the mouth. Raspberry, red currant and plum fruits are balanced with fine sandy tannins and cedar oak. This medium to full bodied wine has a lovely balance and style in true Church Block character. Church Block was the first wine the late Greg Trott produced under the Wirra Wirra label back in 1972. He took the name from one of the original vineyards, which runs next to the small Bethany Church (Est 1854) across the road from Wirra Wirras century old ironstone cellars. Only the best parcels from any given year are used to produce Hollick's Ravenswood Cabernet. Partial fermentation and maturation for 18 months in new French barriques leads to intense cassis, tobacco leaf flavours with slight minty notes. The palate also displays wonderful fruit and oak tannin, the result of 16 months oak maturation.

Avancé is the first red from Glaetzer-Dixon to advance from barrel to bottle each season. Working and travelling through many wine-making regions on the European Continent gave Nick, their wine maker, insight into the lighter wine styles, keenly sought after by the local village people for their fresh fruit driven flavours.

Glaetzer-Dixon's wine maker Nick has taken four generations of Barossa shiraz wine-making knowledge and applied it to carefully selected parcels of shiraz grapes from the Coal Valley in Southern Tasmania. The Mon Père Shiraz is a pre-eminent cool-climate shiraz, with flavours and textures evocative of Northern Rhône valley wines.

Deep, inky red in colour. Lifted blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose with hints of eucalypt. The palate shows depth and power with generous pure Cabernet fruit and supple, long tannins. Balanced French oak adds some savoury spice to the wine. Will age well for many years.
