Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay is an elegant style balancing natural acidity with intense fruit flavour. Named in honour of Patricia Brown, the fruit for this exceptional white wine consists of 57% from the Brown Brothers Whitlands vineyard and the balance from Coombe Farm vineyard located in the Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley experiences cool ripening conditions just like the Whitlands vineyard. The vineyard selection contributes to a tight style with wonderful fig and mealy characters typical of a cool climate Chardonnay.

1998 was the fourth successive drought vintage in the Clare Valley. This Riesling has a fuller orange blossom flavour and aroma produced from a drought year.

This Chardonnay has been made from a small single clone block grown in the Robinson Vineyard at Tuerong. A beautiful chardonnay with great aromatics of citrus, white flower and sulphides. An interesting contrast to our Paringa Estate chardonnays from Red Hill vineyards. We have called this wine the Robinson Vineyard to officially recognize where the fruit has come from and to pay my respects to Hugh's efforts for growing such great quality fruit. 2021 is the first release of this wine.

How can something that is so light in alcohol have such incredible palate weight and texture? It's an art form and Ernst Loosen is a master. The Kabinett style means a decent lick of residual sugar, but the steely, crunchy acid means you'll hardly notice it. Simply stunning.

Starting with the 2016 vintage, Hubert de Boüard-de-Laforêt, winegrower since 1956, co-owner of Château Angelus - Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Oenologist consultant in more than 80 properties around the world, is producing a range of varietals grown on his own plots and labelled under his own name. This innovative project aims to set the level of each varietal to a new high standard.Produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this superbly expressive wine has been vinified and matured in barrel for a total length of 11 months. Barrel-ageing - 1/3 acacia 2/3 French oak

"Richer, fuller and more complex than its stable mates. Plenty of technique on display - barrel ferment notes, introducing both yeast and spicy oak plus malo driven lactic notes, which all increase the volume of the wine. The impression is of a ‘polished sweetness'...90pts " (Halliday).

Palate - Light and delicate with a tight, fine line of acidity, leading to a long focused palate with a creamy texture. Rich autolysis characters of brioche and nougat lead the way with hints of citrus, almond, fennel and hay. This refreshing wine has a long, dry, crisp finish. Winemaking The Chardonnay fruit is gently pressed off skins with a series of press fractions going to separate holding tanks for later assessment. The juice is settled bright and fermented cold with a neutral yeast strain in stainless steel. No malolactic fermentation takes place, so as to obtain a finer, tighter acid structure. The wine was then bottled on the 23rd of May 2019 with a dose of active yeast and sugar (known as ‘tirage’) to encourage the secondary ferment. The bottle ferment lasts approximately six weeks after which the tirage sparkling wine rests in storage for four years gaining complexity from contact with the yeast lees. When deemed to be balanced and with sufficient autolysis character, we send the bottles for riddling and disgorging where the yeast plug is removed and the cork inserted. This wine was disgorged on the 7th of July 2020. Storage/Bottling - The unique nature of this sparkling wine is that bottling occurs as part of the winemaking process early in the wine’s life. In the case of the Georgette, the final disgorging and packaging process occurs four years after the wine is first put to bottle. Heavy grade sparkling glass, stylish labeling and the traditional white hood of the Forester brand complete the elegant package.
