When Giuseppe and Pietro Simi immigrated to Northern California, they settled in Sonoma County because it reminded them of their native Tuscany where wine had been made for centuries. In 1876, they founded SIMI in Healdsburg, California. Today, there still making wine from diverse Sonoma County grapes in the same stone cellar built in 1890. The palate is zesty with fresh flavours of tangerine, lemon curd, stone fruit, white peach and nectarine framed by sweet toast and vanilla followed with wet-stone minerality and orange peel on the finish. The Estate Range 'Cool Climate' Chardonnay shows a great concentration of white peach, nectarine and white flower blossom on the nose. There are tropical fruits such as pineapple, honeydew and ripe peach that seamlessly integrate with a firm structured acidity on the palate. This wine has a great clean finish and is ideal to drink now or for careful medium-term cellaring.

Delightful aromas of white peach, nectarines and subtle citrus zest join hints of cashew and cream. Fresh flavours of stone fruit combine with a tropical and citrus characters, subtle roasted cashews and an underlying creaminess from extended lees stirring to deliver a mouth-filling and enjoyable wine. The wine has a clean, elegant palate, a soft acid backbone and long, persistent finish.

Cremant refers to French sparkling wine made in the traditional method outside of Champagne and is specific to a handful of regions. This one, from Burgundy, has a soft effervescence, is creamy and rich showing good complexity. A full, crisp style, exhibiting quality, cool climate Chardonnay fruit.
