Taittinger Comtes de Champagne is the finest expression of the world famous wine from one of the greatest Champagne Houses. First produced in 1952, Comtes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from 6 Grand Cru sites in the Cité de Blancs. Showing a pristine pale yellow colour with very light, abundant bubbles which rise uniformly to form a fine mousse. The evocative bouquet opens with notes of pears and fresh cute white flowers. Left in the glass for a time, the nose develops a richness and density of pure character. Once on the palate, Comtes is lively, direct and precise with flavours of candied lemon zest and fresh pineapple. The balance is something to behold. This Champagne's marriage of finesse and aromatic intensity is a promise of further potential, but already offers very pleasurable drinking.

This wine is made from two parcels which are found on the border of the communes of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The first, which is to the left of the Clos des Perrières, has clay/limestone soil and a subsoil of volcanic rock which allows a healthy root system to develop in this limestone-rich environment. The second is on the upper slope and overlooks the Perrières quarry. Here the soil is heavily limestone, partly as marl and partly as white rock. This is interesting for the way it brings mineral notes to the wine. During tastings it often find notes of white pepper and other spices both on the nose and on the palate.

Reserve Bin A Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a wine produced by Penfolds, a well-known Australian winemaker. It is a single-region wine, meaning that it is made from grapes grown in a single area, in this case, the Adelaide Hills. The wine has a pale yellow-green color and a complex aroma of white tropical fruit, subtle reductive flint notes, and a touch of floral. On the palate, the wine is taut with well-integrated wood nuances, good acidity, and white peach, mineral, and saline notes. The finish is long and lingering with hints of lime. Meursault-Blagny Cuvée du Myosotis 1er Cru Sourced from the commune of Blagny, legally classified within the confines of Meursault, this is a thrilling wine of strident length, latent power and an alloyed, ball bearing-like precision. It rolls through the mouth, staining the cheeks with riffs on apricot pith, candied lemon rind, dried mango and a toasted melody of assorted nuts. There is plenty of oak sitting on this, boding well for its procession into a long future in the cellar. A Meursault for the ages, in the hands of a master.
